mfw white background mfw no meticulously agonized-over line art mfw no shading mfw no over-referenced anatomy i don't know to make my drawings look effortless lol. i know it's a skill issue in my case but i always feel like i should be doing more, even w/ "sketches"

i can't in good conscience recommend animation to young ppl unless they are really willing to sacrifice great pay and stability for the intangible rewards of creative expression and uh... maybe camaraderie lol i really do only want to do this for a living, but you do have to be kind of crazy

i'm going to look up grodnertal pegdolls and bisque dolls! your work looks like the kinds of things my grandparents would have in their homes from when they were children. there's a nostalgic, idyllic feeling to them i'm grateful to have had your work come across my feed. it's unique and lovely :)

i use it for work and have to juggle dozens of channels with dubious upkeeping to keep track of things. good for some things (meetings, streaming) but awful for production >_<

don’t think I need a fancy coat, technicolor or otherwise, to interpret this

And yes. I am encouraging people to drive their best friends absolutely insane instead of discussing, QRP, or exacerbating bad takes in other ways. Love things you love very loudly! If you hate something, there’s probably a constructive way to discuss it that doesnt make you and others miserable lol

i'm not anti-natalist, i'm anti-pronatalism. this is a white supremacist eugenics movement and should be treated with appropriate derision

sites shuttered, talent was chased offline or left the industry to pursue something less hostile. GG was funneled into maga, and the enshittification of what used to be an exciting, promising online games ecosystem was in full swing now, years later, I don’t even recognize the industry. fuck this

but just as this fire was being stoked in me, gamer gate happened and the air was completely sucked out of the room. everyone who mattered to me was suddenly forced to spend all their energy protecting themselves and countering the narratives of the stupidest troglodytes on earth

Besties, Gamers with Jobs, Brainy Gamer, the Idle Thumbs network, etc; Leigh Alexander, Maddy Myers, Danielle Riendeau, Austin Walker, Rob Zacny, and others made me so excited about games as art. I was so annoying about it. I wanted so badly to be part of those conversations some day

I followed Chris Grant and Justin McElroy from Joystiq while they were helping build Polygon and it was such an exciting time for me as a young adult in the first years of my career in the industry. It was the most into Video Games™️ I ever was, to the point I was considering becoming a games writer

i will never understand animators who write off an entire hemisphere's contribution to their own art form just bc they didn't like dragonball or whatever
