Kind of like the difference between a manager that can step onto the floor and do everyone else's job in case they have to fill in and a manager that knows the owner so they were just put in charge as manager and they have no idea how the company actually functions. That is why experience matters.

It is a complete waste of time and resources. The DNC can talk to him privately and encourage him to retire. Perhaps with the offer of a Cabinet position. He would be a great Cabinet member. He is smart and he has a lot of experience and his talent would be a huge asset in that capacity.

Here is the thing though, Schumer isn't even up for re-election until 2028. We have a whole election cycle before he is even up so us talking about replacing him now, or trying to make him resign right now is just not the right move, we need to concentrate on races that are up in 2026.

It is a huge gamble. And she may even beat out the more moderate democrat in the primaries but then loses the general. We have just given the seat to Republicans as a gift. You can't win Statewide races by appealing only to the base. You have to bring in Independents to win.

And New York is a perfect example of how Different a Senate race is. AOC is perfect for AOC;s district but when you go to upstate New York. You might find some Liberals who are happy to pay higher taxes but may not be ready to elect a "Democratic Socialist" I would, but Upstate New York may not.

It felt icky at the time, I agree, but what did they want us to do when we have not even one branch of the Government to act as a Check on these Republicans. Schumer made a hard call, he knew people would be pissed, but he made the right call. It was the best move we had.

So he was able to stop the vote in its tracks basically and push it to right now and just like he said, "by then the Republicans will be so unpopular with their constituents they won't be able to pass it. Which is what we are seeing happen in the Senate. So it was the right move.

And, people don't want to hear it but I am going to say it; Chuck Schumer made the right play when he voted for cloture instead of shutting down the government. Elon would have done so much damage to EVERY department while it was shut down. Also right now we are still on Biden's budget.

My mom was part of the State party the last time the Democrats held the Kansas State House. (During the Clinton years). Yes, Dems were in charge in Kansas for a while with Democratic Governor Joan Finney. Even then Bob Dole still held his seat.

The Senate being a Statewide race you really have to appeal to a larger swath of people because you will have to appeal to both the city population and rural population and you have to win both. Also since they hold for 6 years, it can be harder for people to "take a risk" on more extreme candidates

Thank you Tami, I really appreciate that. My mother was an Executive Director of the State Democratic party so I have seen up close the difference between running for a House of Reps seat and running a Statewide Senate Race. They are just two very different monsters.

Awe. I thought about running before. I had a little too much fun in my younger years I am afraid the discovery process wouldn't go well.
I like progressive policies. I also know that a lot of people just aren't there yet.Sometimes I think the young people let perfection get in the way of progress

That is exactly what happens.
They always talk about the evil "establishment dems" but they sure want that establishment to back them all the time when they are running for office.
Dems don't stop young people from running; young people don't get elected very often.

Its sugarglass dummy. It is athletic no doubt but that glass doesn't cut anything. They use it in Hollywood. It is extremely brittle.
It starts breaking before she even hits it.

This is what young Progressives don't seem to understand. Not all messages sell well in all districts. AOC wouldn't want someone coming to her and saying, "You are too progressive for the people in my district can you tone it down a little?"
Its idiotic. Its shortsighted. its immature.

You have one job as a DNC chair/co-chair vice-chair. To turn Red Districts Purple and Purple districts Blue. Turning a blue district blue-er is just a waste of time and resources.
I think he would do better fighting the gun lobby.
He can be really effective on that issue.

Well David Hogg wanting to Primary Democrats that already have a seat when we are behind because he doesn't think they are "fighting hard enough in his opinion" is just stupid.
AOC's stuff doesn't sell well in places like Moskowitz's district. You try to go more blue there you are going to lose

They are out of control. They have no training either. they look like armatures. You know they didn't pass a PT
It looks like they are using their own personal vehicles.
If they aren't searching people, tell folks to take a pocket knife to work and jump out the car when they get to a stoplight.

They messed up the charging document. Their charging document says he "failed to say her was arriving from Texas" the in their evidence it says "he told us he had driven three days from (city), TX "
So it is right there. No way a judge doesn't dismiss with their evidence. especially this judge.
