Thank you! The story follows a gang of cryptid bountyhunters who work on behalf of the US Government trying to avoid becoming obsolete in a world that wants to move on without them for money, inspired by my feelings on ai. It covers themes of found family, morality, sexuality, bigotry, disability ^^

In that case I'd suggest using the method I already described and then blurring the shadow layer. Then you can go over it again to airbrush the parts you want to be softer ^^

Thank you! Some advice I'd give is to start out by just overlaying a solid colour of shadows over your characters (I like to use dark blue and purple) and then erasing light from the shadow for a more dramatic effect
