You mean to tell me the secret police force that Dick Cheney invented out of thin air, all with their own kangaroo court system, are being used to suppress and chill citizens rights? Here is the thing that bothers me. Obama could have disbanded them. Biden could have disbanded them. But they didnt.

Democrats have failed to groom successors for the last decade at least. The way new senators and representatives have been treated by senior members is reprehensible. We have a situation where leadership has been asleep at the wheel. Now they don't know what to do.

The Atlantic's reporting is like watching a person wrestle themselves for a gun. They will write an article that is progressive and supportive of forward movement, then the next week they say the exact opposite.

4 shots and a bandolier of floppies. We got these ghosts cornered.

Don't go to a protest because the terrorist says so is giving the fascist exactly what they want.

I'm not a ux designer nor do I write computer code. I have tried to sketch UI for a product my company is designing. Even just drawing out what you want and how it should behave is difficult.

For the most part yeah. Though they have been involved in some really weird stuff like internet domain seizures.

ICE has essentially been able to get away with having "no rules" because their actions were small and quiet. They are acting in publicly visible ways at a scale that makes them easy to spot.

And crowd control is different than crowd suppression. Even with the help of local agencies they aren't going to get what they want, no witnesses.

Flash memory really killed the era of incredible innovation for portable storage. Sure a lot of the solutions were terrible, but it is so fun to explore the formats.

I was thinking of the Castlewood Orb. I just looked up Bernoulli box. That technology is much older than I realized. It looks to be a predecessor to the zip disk.

I've only seen the dead carcasses of the Rolodex. So I don't know if there was some special trick to using them. I was always jealous of people that had a B: drive. Symantec had a really cool defrag too for Window 3.1. The visualizer really showed a lot of information about what it was doing.

Wasn't that from Castlewood Systems and released years later than promised?

We all know he knows better. There is no way that he can ignore the history like that. What is happening is the fascist agenda. They are simply saying a new "truth" until it sticks.

I have a seething resentment of the imagineers I've had to deal with, it would be nice to know there are some good ones in the pool.

I just can't believe they didn't ask a Chicago Public Library librarian or a few of the library districts. They usually have a list ready to go, just tell them what age group. Throw their name as a partner on the article, everyone is happy. Now you have community engagement and where to get books.

There was a product that I used to work on that 4 ribbon cables that you had to plug in blind. It was absolute torture some days trying to get them in.

I don't like walking on scaffold when there is a several story drop under me and that is supposed to be structurally sound. I can't imagine walking on a skylight.

Thinking of the particular photo I'm sure you are referencing. Yes, it would be a convention ending incident. It might end a lot of conventions because furs would become a high risk group in the eyes of venue managers. Oh, to be young and have no concept of risk.

Shouldn't people who earn under 15k just not need to pay taxes? Like there is no meaningful contribution there. They will better spend that money independently.

It's almost as if the infrastructure of America is crumbling and anytime someone asks to do maintenance the budget get deferred for 40 years.

And Democrats have completely failed at grooming replacements. They have a stranglehold on positions and refuse to let anyone near them. There are plenty of 80 year olds that are making horrible policy and won't listen to their people.

But it is impossible to miss that every president since I've been alive, with the exception of Obama, have all been born within 5 years of each other. There is nothing special about that except they also happen to match the average age of boomers. The political landscape has been dominated.

The youth fascism voters are certainly an interesting group. I suspect that it is a reaction to knowing they are completely fucked and continuous exposure to radicalized content. There are plenty of well meaning older voters. Many that have been fighting for progressive policy their whole life.

It's so funny to me that fascists simply don't understand Star Wars.

I like that the image compression makes it look like the wall is split in two horizontal. Gives it an even better impossible perspective vibe.

Very low. Objects, even though they are your possessions don't have a right to trial. It is a an absolute garbage take and one of those laws passed with good intentions but is actually a tool of suppression. Much like the recently passed Take It Down act.

I sometimes forget how good he was at dancing. Everything is so tight in his videos.

Most of my bird photos are of empty twigs with a possible motion blur at the edge of the frame. I don't know how people have the reflexes and patience for avian photos.

I really wish you could edit Alt Text after you post. I always forget during the post. Or it should get really obnoxious about it, like a big popup when you try to hit post without having written alt text.

The press is pretty much all owned by conservative magnets. They are likely quite proud of their achievements. Until they discover that they are no longer useful to the new dictator.

It's just the setup for another manufactured outage. Of course he would never get picked but "how dare they dismiss him."

He has been exceptionally good at sucking up to the nations that like to assassinate people. So that won't be his doom. Maybe he will get pulled into an international court.

I sure hope you've been donating to them and voting for people interested in making sure their project remains legal with as few limitations as possible. Because that train is already losing cars as fascists seen not to like the internet's long memory.

It has not gotten past me that there have been two presidents who should have disbanded ICE and chose not to. Biden could have done it as he was stepping out the door, making what is happening now so much more difficult. But everyone wants their secret courts and extrajudicial police force.

I was going to say we've turned out alright then I remembered that enough of us are so brain dead that they voted for a fascist, so maybe it is the petroleum dyes.
