Random reminder that banning members of Congress from trading stock is a total no brainer. They can use privileged information to make money on the stock market, while they’re supposed to be working for you. Make no mistake — it’s legalized corruption.

I campaigned on the proposal to tie VA funding directly to any DOD funding that paid for troops. That way, every time we created a soldier, we funded his or her post-service needs & care. The idea was to bake veterans’ benefits into the cost of war, and never to allow one without the other.
