I think the near future of AI is with imaging which has made incredible leaps, but LLM's are very useful but far from AI - Hope with Apple not talking about AI recently that other software vendors follow suit - I miss real features...

Cool approach, explanation and help for your 21+ adult kids, many who must be dealing with lots of post COVID anxiety - youtu.be/h5SavjMFRLg?...

Some days (but not that often) - It's a Richard Marx Repeat Offender listening kind of work day!

Almost inspired enough to write "A pragmatic understanding of what Clean Core SHOULD mean to customers and their developers" - That said, the messaging for Partners is much clearer and probably the hardest to adapt their products since they may target older S/4HANA and R/3 systems (Tier #2 FTW)!

Fun fact, IAS custom domain SSL certificate does not support SHA-384 and that's really fun when your CA updates their site just before you need a new production cert!

Asking for a friend - If you have a columnar S/4 cluster "HANA" table, is it possible to roll back this table to a previous point of time using the HANA column features via HANA SQL? On related news - Hotnews in SAP is really important to read...

I remember requesting OpenText config to use HTTPS 13 years ago and being told no one does that - Now it seems using custom customer domain for IAS tenant with SuccessFactors source is also surprisingly unique and problematic!

Finished it for you: Junior -> Developer -> Expert -> Lead -> Feeling like an imposter for the rest of your career since you realise you are always Junior at the next big thing!

Can't wait till AI gets to the point of knowing what it doesn't know and stops pretending it does know.

All about AI and a sprinkling of other news... Hopefully the demos hit home better than previous years today!

I doubt it will happen, but would be good if Sapphire had some Bluesky community interaction beyond the usual folk this year - Discussion on LinkedIn and SCN isn't the thing we need so... (and hopefully marketing have dropped the Twitter handles and replaced with Buesky)

AI was so eager to please telling me how i could go about tallying planned costs into estimated costs when a work order is released, even after multiple times replying the solution was not possible or dodgy - In the end, only solution was background job to do the update so I rejected the request!

And Universal login is still a huge friction point!

Some useful preferences mentioned in here.

Creating new CDS based email templates seem to be disabled in the Fiori app, though you can create it in se80 and it shows up, but then it looks like there is no released API to render it Email templates anyway!? (cl_smtg_email_renderer) Are they forcing us to BPA or is there another way?

The Adobe forms solution in S/4HANA (splitting master and content) is both much better than using tcode SFP but has quite a few differences and quirks to pickup.

Nice summary approach layed out here (wish BOPF didn't need to be shown but it does need to) - And nice production values (I started using DaVince Resolve today because of @swheroes.bsky.social post yesterday and it's so much better than Clipchamp)

Fun explaining to Consultants from SAP about what Clean Core is, Tiered development, Custom Fields in S/4HANA, Cloud Compliant coding, ABAP Cleaner, etc (and yes - even said they should be using ABAP in Eclipse) - Think SAP might need to do more internally here...

Apparently in a 3 tier landscape, SuccessFactors test should be production, not preview - but requesting IAS like this forces a Production Cloud Identity (IAS) to be provisioned - Anyone know of any major concerns with using a prod IAS in your Test BTP landscape? (SAP don't seem to care)
