Btw. All those learning certification LinkedIn posts aren't great considering it can take you 10 minutes to complete some of them!

Imagine getting the equivalent of very hard to get badges that are shown on LinkedIn based on community engagement/quality!

And dedicated funding not linked to marketing or tracking everyone via universal ID - even host and support it on LinkedIn! #brainstorming

Maybe define each community, the various types of members and what would drive each of them. SAP products are super fragmented in terms of audience right now...it's no longer R/3 and BW! eg Imagine a new clean core RISE community as a fresh start perhaps which touches on real world no marchitecture!

FYI - I wanted to port an Identity management solution that leverages SF/HR data to update ABAP environments and Active Directory to both CAP and RAP to compare but immediately gave up when it was going to be so Tier 3 to do it!

Combination of S/4HANA 2022 still being all BOPF based or worse with very limited events and looking for released API's for user provisioning in any S/4HANA and BTP instance (though I might rely on EntraID Groups for BTP going forward via Cloud Identity mapping).

On a related note - I was so inspired after CodeConnect but when I went to try anything, the most basic API's were non-existent and so my inspiration was short lived. A lot of current tech is based on using API's which SAP are still behind on IMO. Why is everything always Sales order based!?

oh - And an always logged in SAP Community online solution - Still adament that login killed the SAP Community faster than any other single thing!

There are multiple facets to this IMO - Learning does need a low entry barrier 100% - we need dev heroes working in the customer world (and not just next release stuff) - passionate people across the globe need opportunity to meet/debate/socialise - a helpful community portal w/o the noise - + more

One example of Clean Core at Customer is that side by side is not great for heavily integrated scenarios and ABAP Cloud style with Tier 1/Tier 2 development is what consultants/architects should be recommending per SAP's recommendations in this scenario.

Sounds dangerous when you combine PM with Architectural foundations - A natural but effective friction when it comes to Quality, Time and Budget.

But there are way too many EA solution architects who are too close to IT for sure!

Good memory - I think I'm saying it comes down to listening (& learning), empathy and methodical strategy/decision making more than experiencing the business. e.g. Being able to translate between business and tech is key. Knowing both domains well is fairly unusual.

I think most EA's are methodical Solution Architects who have strong Business Analysis, collaboration, political and empathy skills. At least, that - alongside good PowerPoint skills - is what I would say when I want to call myself an EA!

The Software Heroes posts are an excellent example of teaching me things I should know but don't way more often than I'd like to admit!

I love responses like: You're absolutely correct — and this is a critical point.
In Customer Exit EXIT_SAPLCOIH_009 (Enhancement IWO10009), you cannot safely or officially update order data — including estimated cost — because:...

I just don't want the place to be LinkedIn either. Once a great differentiator, now has been lost for sure...

I reckon if they don't plan to built it into Fiori or ADT, then it is not clean core by definition...We don't need any more gray in this space so some hard and fast rules will help.

Also think I read that only sap scenarios were clean so keep an eye out for that discrepancy

Thanks but you can see the mixed messages coming out about this... You taught me workflow so feel free to teach me flexible workflow (even though customers don't often need the flexibility)

Or alternatively, I would say standard workflow is clean too...

Sounds unclean to me! Eg. Not possible in s4 public cloud... Unless they are creating a Fiori version of swdd_scenario

Is custom flex workflow even possible in without GUI (which is a requirement for clean core isn't it?)

Just simple output management where you deal with master, content and hope for a BADI to add additional calculated fields!

Project Managers and contract teams still love this approach unfortunately (it's like including activating a number of Fiori apps in an upgrade which happens also)

"Know Your Tools Really Well" - I wish the creators of RAP (or annotations for FE) explained why they did things they way they did as I struggle learning something new without this understanding "Why" it is the way it is! A common issue with SAP in recent years (excluding CAP/UI5)
