Declan Rice is the only Premier League player to have made 50+ club appearances in each of the last four seasons. Overall, only Bruno Fernandes (210) has played more club games than Rice (203) among Premier League players since the start of 2021-22.

Think we need a new left back...

David Raya is set to make his 55th appearance of the season today, the most by an #Arsenal goalkeeper since David Seaman in 1993-94 (57).

Today will be the first time we’ve started a Premier League game without either of Gabriel or Saliba since losing 5-0 at the Etihad back in August 2021. Ends a run of 148 consecutive league games where at least one of the two has been named in the starting XI.

Leandro Trossard has made 55 appearances for #Arsenal this season, the most by a player for the club since Kolo Toure in 2003-04 (also 55). The last players to make more were Lee Dixon & Nigel Winterburn in 1994-95 (57 each).

Saliba made his 100th Premier League appearance today, starting all 100 of those games & completing 90 minutes in 96 of them (subbed off 3 times, 1 red). He’s the first outfield player to start each of his first 100 league games for #Arsenal since William Gallas between 2006-2010

Declan Rice has scored 4 goals from outside the box this season, the most by an #Arsenal player since Emile Smith Rowe in 2021-22 (also 4), with Alexis Sánchez (6 in 2014-15) being the last player to net more goals from distance for the club in a single campaign.

Midfield duo Thomas Partey (21/21) & Declan Rice (25/26) misplaced just one pass between them this evening against Real Madrid.

5-1 v Sporting CP 2-1 v Girona 7-1 v PSV 2-1 v Real Madrid 4 consecutive away wins in the European Cup/Champions League for #Arsenal, just the second time we've achieved this feat, previously doing so back in 2005-06, with the 4th win in that run also coming at Real Madrid.

#Arsenal are just the 4th side to eliminate Real Madrid from a 2 legged European Cup/Champions League knockout tie by an aggregate margin of 4+ goals: ◎ 1988-89 SF (1-6 v Milan) ◎ 2008-09 Last 16 (0-5 v Liverpool) ◎ 2022-23 SF (1-5 v Man City) ◉ 2024-25 QF (1-5 v Arsenal)

#Arsenal's Mikel Merino is just the third visiting player in UEFA Champions League history to assist 2 goals against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu after Predrag Djordjevic for Olympiakos in October 2007 & Dusan Tadic for Ajax in March 2019.

#Arsenal's record when Gabriel Martinelli scores: W W W D W D D W W W W W W W W W W W W W W W W W W W D D W W W W W W W W W D W W W D W

#Arsenal had 12 shots against Real Madrid this evening, 11 of them were on target 🧐 the most Madrid have faced on target in a UEFA Champions League game since November 2013 vs Juventus (12).

3-0, Merino.

Declan Rice is the first #Arsenal player to score 2 goals from outside the box in a game since Nicolas Pépé vs Vitória Guimarães in October 2019, with his 2 strikes also being 2 direct free-kicks.

This is the first time England have seen a player score on their senior debut (Myles Lewis-Skelly) while it also being a managers first game in charge (Thomas Tuchel) since 28 September 1946 (Tom Finney, Wilf Mannion & Bob Langton vs Northern Ireland under Walter Winterbottom).

Players to score on their senior England debut while playing their club football for #Arsenal: ◎ Ted Drake v Italy - 1934 ◎ Alfred Kirchen v Norway - 1937 ◎ Francis Jeffers v Australia - 2003 ◉ Myles Lewis-Skelly v Albania - 2025

Oleksandr Zinchenko is the 13th different player to score for #Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League this season (excl. own goals) with only Borussia Dortmund in 2016-17 (15) and Real Madrid in 2001-02 (14) having more scorers in a single campaign in the competition's history.

Riccardo Calafiori is just the second #Arsenal player to both score and assist in a UEFA Champions League game having come off the bench after Thierry Henry vs AIK in September 1999.

Martin Ødegaard had a hand in three goals in a single game for the first time as an #Arsenal player (2 goals, 1 assist), with tonight his 182nd appearance for the club.

Tonight was the 2nd time #Arsenal have had 6 different goalscorers in an away game - both coming in Europe. November 1993 v Standard Liège (CWC): Adams Campbell (2) Smith McGoldrick Merson Selley March 2025 v PSV (UCL): Timber Nwaneri Merino Ødegaard (2) Trossard Calafiori

#Arsenal scored seven goals in a single game for the first time since beating Newcastle 7-3 in the Premier League back in December 2012. First time it's happened away from home since October 2012 (7-5 vs Reading in the League Cup).

#Arsenal are starting a Champions League game with 2 teenagers (Nwaneri & MLS) for the first time since September 2014 vs Galatasaray (Bellerín & Chambers), doing so in the knockout rounds of the competition for the first time since March 2007, also vs PSV (Fàbregas & Denilson).

Only two players have come off the bench to score both of #Arsenal's first two goals in a Premier League game: ◎ Cesc Fàbregas vs Aston Villa - December 2009 ◉ Mikel Merino vs Leicester - February 2025

#Arsenal are starting a Premier League game without any of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus & Kai Havertz for the first time since beating Brighton 2-0 in the final game of the 2020-21 season. At least one of those has started each of our last 138 league games.

Yesterday was the first time on record (since 2010-11) #Arsenal have scored - and Man City have conceded - 3+ goals from high turnovers in a single Premier League game.

Through Thomas Partey & Ethan Nwaneri, yesterday #Arsenal scored two goals from outside the box in a Premier League game for the first time since December 2018 against Spurs. Nwaneri already having a trademark finish at 17 is quite frankly absurd.

#Arsenal have scored seven goals against Man City in the Premier League this season (2-2 at the Etihad, 5-1 at the Emirates) the most by a team in a single campaign against the Citizens since Liverpool in 2015-16 (7).

Yesterday's win was just the second time #Arsenal have scored 5+ goals in a league game against the reigning top-flight champions also beating Everton 6-0 back in December 1963.

All five of #Arsenal’s goals yesterday came from open play. It was the first time Man City have conceded 5+ open play goals in a single Premier League game since May 2008 against Middlesbrough.

David Raya is unbeaten in his last six Premier League games against Man City (W4 D2) – the longest ever unbeaten league run by a goalkeeper against a Pep Guardiola side.

Across spells with Barcelona, Bayern Munich & Man City, Pep Guardiola has taken charge of 916 games and on only two occasions has he seen his side concede 5+ goals in a game. ◎ 2-5 vs Leicester (Sep 2020) ◉ 1-5 vs Arsenal (Feb 2025)

Efoggin beautiful!

Norberto Neto (35y & 194d) becomes #Arsenal's oldest debutant since Ned Liddell in April 1915 (36y & 310d). #AFC have used 4 keepers in a single season (Raya, Neto, Setford & Porter) for the first time since 2020-21 (Leno, Martínez, Rúnarsson & Ryan).

Thought this was pretty interesting… Arsenal’s inability to “kill games off” or go 2 goals ahead has been telling this season. Not knowing whether to stick or twist when leading by 1 goal. May see a few more games like last night before the seasons up.

Tonight is the first of five successive home games for #Arsenal. The last time this happened was back in March/April 2018.

Ethan Nwaneri is the first player to score 5+ goals for #Arsenal in a season while aged 17 or under since John Radford in 1964-65 (8).

Below is the starting XI Mikel Arteta fielded the most across all competitions in 2024... and yes, that is Tomiyasu in there! This XI started four consecutive matches in April/May, winning all four against Chelsea (5-0), Spurs (3-2), Bournemouth (3-0) and Man Utd (1-0).

Bukayo Saka was directly involved in 36 goals in 2024 (20G & 16A), the most by an #Arsenal player in a single calendar year since Aubameyang in 2019 (also 36 - 31G & 5A), while the last player to be involved in more for the club was Robin van Persie in 2011 (51 - 42G & 9A).

Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka both won back possession in the final third on more occasions than any other players in the Premier League in 2024 (36 times each).

Through Kai Havertz (21) and Bukayo Saka (20), #Arsenal have had more than one player net 20+ goals in a single calendar year for the first time since 2004, when both Thierry Henry (43) and Robert Pires (21) did so.

Since losing 1-0 to Inter at the start of November, #Arsenal have gone 11 matches without defeat (W8 D3) - only in 1986 (17) and 2003 (16) have we ended a calendar year with a longer unbeaten run.

#Arsenal have gone unbeaten throughout December 2024 (P7 W5 D2), the most games we've played in a single calendar month without suffering defeat since January 2007 (P8 W6 D2).

This is the first time #Arsenal have played the same opponent in consecutive matches and won both games since doing so against Bolton in January 2010.

Martin Ødegaard last night was the first player to assist two goals for #Arsenal as a substitute since Aaron Ramsey against Spurs in December 2018.

This is the first time #Arsenal have scored a goal from a corner in four consecutive matches across all competitions since October 2021.

For the first time in #Arsenal’s history, we’ve had 5+ different goalscorers (excluding own goals) in consecutive matches in all competitions. ◎ vs Sporting CP Martinelli Havertz Gabriel Saka Trossard ◉ vs West Ham Gabriel Trossard Ødegaard Havertz Saka

Instances of #Arsenal scoring 5+ goals in back-to-back away league matches against an opponent: ◎ Leicester (Filbert St.) 6-6 Apr 1930 7-2 Feb 1931 ◎ Middlesbrough (Ayresome Park) 5-2 Mar 1931 5-2 Dec 1931 ◉ West Ham (London Stadium) 6-0 Feb 2024 5-2 Nov 2024
