Super excited to launch ReproducibiliTea’s newest reading list: “Open Research… in the Arts?” 🔬🎭🎨🎷📐 Probe the boundaries of Open Research expectations across disciplines, explore data outside the sciences, discuss challenges facing empirical and practice-based arts, and more ⭐️ Get stuck in! ☕️🫖

Present, past, & farther afield members of @musicpsychologylab.bsky.social brought together by conferences! This time, SEMPRE25 in the RNCM 🎶🔬 Day 1 done with some really super presentations from everyone 💫🔭 @charasteliou.bsky.social @curwen01.bsky.social @kirtsconnor.bsky.social

and clearly having a great time 🤓⭐️🎤

presenting MUSIFEAST-17 with it’s interactive Plotly Shiny app.R (pictured left!) which can be viewed and run via my GitHub repository github.com/HazelvdW/MUS... 🧞‍♀️🎧

Check out our @reproducibilitea.org journal club webpage reproducibilitea.org/journal-club... to get a peak into what we’ll be discussing over some hot tea in our new @ukrepro.bsky.social teapot 🫖⭐️🚀☕️

Our PhD students @hazelvanderwalle.bsky.social and @kirtsconnor.bsky.social started Durham University’s @reproducibilitea.org journal club! Based in the Music Department, our journal club hopes to facilitate discussion about #OpenResearch practices across disciplines, from the sciences to the arts

Our co-director @kellyjakubowski.bsky.social presented to Durham Comp Sci students about her @leverhulme.bsky.social project looking into music-evoked thoughts Her #musicscience team is making resources and studying different thought types evoked by #music Interested? Check out musicscience.net!

Delighted to be newly part of the ReproducibiliTea steering committee! Looking forward to bringing more arts & humanities Open Research focus and resources to the team ⭐️☕️

How transparent is music psychology as a discipline? Unfortunately not yet near acceptable levels in making data (5%), analysis scripts (1%) available, nor committing to preregistration (0%) or replications (3%). Benchmarked to psychology in graph. New #musicscience study out doi.org/10.1177/1029...

We still need help with our database! We're looking for examples of inner music in fiction and biography. Anyone welcome to submit - please share widely! More details below: musicinmyhead.org/inner-music-...

If you missed my talk but still want to learn how to make your R code more reproducible, my slides are here 🙂: daxkellie.quarto.pub/will-your-co... All the links to packages and resources I mentioned are there, so hopefully this can be a nice reference, too! #ESAus2024 #rstats #quartopub 🧪🌏

Super funky getting to see the first use of my new music stimulus set (!) in a replication project by some Durham Uni undergrads! 🫢 Research replication is cool 😎 #musicpsychology #musicscience

Showing off the view we get after conducting experiments 😏

I’ve created a starter pack to collect the #musicscience and #musicpsychology related organizations and labs together in one place. Let me know if there is anyone to add! go.bsky.app/Eao5vcf
