Ironically, he was just dropped in our dynasty league this morning. Waiver claim submitted!

Re: Shaw, I know it’s super early to write somebody off, but the comp to Hayes came to me last night and using the FG comparison tool made them look a bit more similar.

“Peace through Strength” is the new mantra, it reinforces the idea that our military is so strong it’ll act as a deterrent, power is more important than diplomacy, and action dictates strength, as opposed to “woke” things like intellect and mental adaptability, and compromise.

That’s why he appeals to so many people I know. They are consumed by hatred, and he is their talisman.

It was. It was also an instance of a team trading away a generational talent and All Star 3rd baseman whose relationship with the team had soured beyond repair, so I figured there was at least some symmetry.

Haha absolutely. Polanco was a fine player and had a good career. Harrison is still only 23, and we’ll see what they do with Hicks, who’s had some good seasons already.

They just got more for Devers than the Phillies got for Rolen.

You can write it in ink, set it and forget it, and any other sports cliche you prefer.

I’m surprised so many are surprised by the return. It was never gonna be a lot, given the circumstances. Harrison is at least decent and Hicks would be a good bullpen option. The only better scenario would’ve been him agreeing to play 1B, and that wasn’t happening.

….and if they don’t like the amount, they can appeal it as an abuse of discretion, so even if you do put up the money, it’ll be argued it’s not enough.

All I got out of that is he sold out people he considers friends.

“Commander in chief” is doing so, so, so, so much heavy lifting here.

My follow up would’ve been “were you trying to make a pun?”

As far as I can tell, the main difference right now with this event is Hux had better skin and we haven’t figured out to blow up other planets yet

“Yeah that first response was pretty sarcastic. Here’s a still sarcastic, but slightly less so, response to follow up”

Kinda hard to feel like it will matter when the comments are seemingly always followed up with comments like these. Makes you think that the movement away is unlikely, at best, to happen.

If you voted for him, you voted for that.

Sure, until they get hired as Part Time or Independent Contractors and won’t be eligible.

You can always tell when a Congressman is using their time to get talking points on the record, and not actually discuss anything, much less allow pushback in the response. This is a great example of that.

I work with a manager who does this. If you ask them a question, they are confident in answering right away. I’ve learned to give it a beat when they do, because about half the time, they’re wrong and somebody else has to correct them.

You should add the ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ on the back over the snap to really drive it home…

Scott, “Florida Man” isn’t a compliment.

Everything after “because” should’ve set off alarm bells screaming “Am I Really Saying This?!?” in his head

Safe at first, possibly at 2nd, I’d say.

So, at the same time I’m hoping for no setbacks and Ragans can return from his groin thing this weekend, I’m potentially losing SLADE over the same thing. This season keeps on seasoning.

No, the “able-bodied who don’t want to work”, and are being accused of defrauding the system by reaping benefits they don’t need. They are being blamed for the need to cut Medicaid spending.
comment in response to post
Yes, what we’re seeing is the modern version of the “welfare queens” propagandized during the 80’s. Medicaid is actually underfunded. We could do more for people if we had better reimbursement rates, which would help alleviate the massive staff shortages we have in community-based MH services.
comment in response to post
As a patient, no, but providers will sometimes do things like bill for services without a service plan, make mistakes that lead to over billing, or billing for services not provided. I’m a QI Manager at a MH provider and we train staff on how to recognize and avoid FWA, and do audits to follow up.
comment in response to post
On behalf of all those in the business of knowing what FWA is, let me explain: Fraud is intentional or willful deception. Waste is improper or excessive spending that does not meet a need. They are not interchangeable. At best, what he is describing is Waste, not Fraud.
