The origin of makeup can be traced back to… wait for it… both men and women wearing it. Funny how these people seem to disregard history in favor of current social norms that align with their ideology.

It’s all about propaganda and hoping no one fact checks (or is too lazy to look for other perspectives)

Hungry, stressed out citizens are easier to control.

Quoting Bullshit Jobs, ā€œConservatives voters…tend to resent intellectuals more than they resent rich people. Because they can imagine a scenario in which they or their children might become rich, but cannot possibly imagine one in which they can ever become a member of the cultural elite.ā€

I don’t understand how these people sleep at night with this on their, seemingly nonexistent, consciouses. I just can’t comprehend how far you have to be in that us-versus-them mentality that you degrade others to subhuman levels.

The fact that the sitting president has the gall to post outrageous things everyday should be an indicator that he’s unfit. A leader should lead. Not degrade others who inevitably work for the same people the leader should be working for.

ā€œBlown right out of the water with something bad happeningā€ … besides that being a weirdly worded sentence, is that not a threat?

As a psychology professor, I’m looking forward to the case studies and research we will go over in class in the next decade as a result of these past few years of MAGA and Trumpism. Wild.

If my undergrad students submit work that’s blatantly false and includes nonexistent references, they not only receive an F, but an academic integrity complaint is filed, which then goes to a peer review process.

Boils down to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and whether we can work together for the greater good… or not.

This comment is quite biased and is a logical fallacy in and of itself.

Oh, how fun! My uncle does beekeeping, so that is a huge interest of mine. He also makes BEAUTIFUL woodwork art. At least you’re getting protein from your eggs! Stay safe, too!
comment in response to post
I love this! I also started growing and I have a bunch of ducks, so we get plenty of eggs for ourselves and to give to friends and family.

I hope you have a support system in your area in case things get worse. I highly recommend growing easy foods. (Potatoes are almost impossible to kill haha, tomatoes and peppers are easy, too!). Finding those to trade and barter with is always good, too! Also, take breaks for your mental health!

The people who live down the street from me finally removed their maga flags everywhere… I mean, cool but this is exactly what they voted for. We tried to tell them.

Hi fellow psychologist! I’ve read books and research (albeit limited) about this maga cult. I swear it’s the same cult as what we saw during WWII. I’m with you—I wish more was being done to study this phenomenon so we could take major steps to de-escalate it

How did you come to that conclusion?

Gotta love it 🫠 While AI does have some cool uses, it’s the bane of my existence when it comes to reading and grading assignments. I hate reading AI.
comment in response to post
Oh, I love that! I had to file an academic integrity report due to hallucinated sources. Here’s the kicker: the student wholeheartedly argued that those (nonexistent) sources are privy only to AI and those are what it used to support the parts of the work they copied and pasted from a chat bot. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø
