Hopefully in a couple of days! Another project I've got underway at the same time.

Wait I forgot to add tags what

Thank you! I'm getting quite used to it! (You didn't see the mistakes hahaha!) This food has to be enjoyed over the week I'm afraid, but it will be amazing!

I will watch with great interest...

Basically, have a go, don't worry if you end up skipping a day or a few. You can only gain, even if you only did one drawing. Try to set some time aside each day. You can learn a lot! Yeah, that's all of my pre-2024 inktobers I found, those were 2017-2018-2019. I didn't touch 2D art for 4 years.

In these older ones real life was getting in the way so I would just stop and its no big deal. Sometimes you can make a banger in a day! Sometimes, its just linework. Its just that in 2024 I really wanted to improve my 2D art and try to fix my work/life/art balance. You don't have to do that.

The important thing is to give it a try and have a go. You don't have to scope them to be crazy, you can decide that some of them are just line drawing doodles, ignore the prompt if you want. Hitting every day is rewarding tho, it builds discipline. Some of these pieces are better than this years!

You should try anyway! Its not about hitting every day or producing masterpieces, its about having a go. My first couple I didn't do more than maybe 5 days. Sometimes I'd actually like an idea enough to stop doing inktober to 'graduate' that particular piece into a 'proper' one. (commentary in alt)

It's always weird explaining to people how I don't drink alcohol at all because I'm completely disinterested in it. It seems to surprise a lot of people because it's just ingrained in the culture that adults drink at least one form of it.

Ohoh we got a vote for bare legs.

Ganbatte-ne!

That's really fast! It's quite refined and neat as well for that time.

Yeah I think I'll step down to maybe a H or F for the initial sketch and then try to refine with 2B? I was really struggling to see my own lines. I worry a lot about carving actual trenches into the paper because I'm no stranger to that. Even here there's a bit of damage to the area on her face.

I have to weigh my options and fully commit to one. The power of Absolute Territory seems to be winning me over at the moment, so it might well be thigh high garter belt!
comment in response to post
Perhaps maybe, thigh highs with a garter belt?

She is extremely cute!

She is very cute and I love the way you drew her hair!

Thank you, but this is just the beginning! I get to go over it with fineliner and hope I don't mess it up!

I guess this is a good point to decide: bare legs, or dark stockings??
comment in response to post
Its only my guess. But its why everyone advises that if you like a work, repost it so it gets spread. And you're not punished for reposting your own work; you remind everyone of a work you're proud of at the very least. Maybe the day after initial post and then maybe a few times a month is good.

That takes me back... (amazing linework!)

In essence people follow people but don't necessarily scroll their profile all that often. I find I missed a bunch of art/posts from artists I really like, because of time of day and their post got drowned out.
comment in response to post
You wouldn't want to spam it of course, obviously that would be annoying, but occasionally reposting pieces that had some effort put in helps get it in front of people who didn't see it the first time. This is my observation, it may operate differently especially on custom feeds or Discover.
comment in response to post
Depending on when they did that, they may or may not see it. This is affected by who is reposting your work because that puts it at the top of people who follow them too. So reposting your work then puts it back at the top of the feed that followers pull from. So it's like another chance for it.

My guess: The thing is your post hits a feed on release, here it becomes part of a chronological feed of posts. Your post will eventually fade because other people's posts stack over yours, so when someone opens their feed and scrolls, they're skimming the top of that giant feed.

Random things like time of day posted, meme, shareability, even current events. I unfortunately released crying Utsuho on Touhou 20's announcement day, so it kinda flopped on reddit. Reddit communities often hate reposts from artists. So with dedicated pieces on here, repost often and unashamedly.

Ah, indeed it does...

Even now this drawing has me reacting to it. Honestly her legs are just too good. I drew them first every time because I really wanted to get them right. I've absolutely got a leg fetish, I love their form so much. Thank you!
comment in response to post
The horniness I felt towards Yukari forces everything to serve the beauty of her form. Long ass puffy dress? Forget it, legs on full display, breasts might as well not even be covered, no evidence of panties on. I would draw her again and again till satisfied. Tis a selfish drawing, pure desire.

Yeah, makes me feel more secure in my current approach: MacBook for the professional art programs (with Apple Intelligence off) and Linux on a separate PC for everything else.
