There was a board game. We fought over it on Friday afternoons in primary school. Runners up got Mousie Mousie.

I was always envious of the long US phone cords. The UK ones were about a yard long and always tangled so no way could you lie on the floor.

Did you go to my school? Burned down in 1976 when I was 13. Then burned down again in 2006 when my daughter was 13.

I saw them live at Wolves Poly in about 1981. They were either brilliant or it was a mass hallucination.

Into The Silence - Wade Davies is a classic. Follow-up with Ghosts of Everest.

Late-ism or being the last to leave and shouting ‘part -timer’ at anyone who leaves before them. I got this a lot as a working parent with a long commute.

This reminds of my Dad, early on Christmas Day after a heavy night, struggling to put my brother’s Corgi Rockets set together. Oh the Christmas spirit. Shortly afterwards he decamped to the pub.

I miss them both. George grows on me year by year. Two geniuses (genii?).

We use to crowd into the phone box and dial 16 to hear a snippet of the Dial a Disc song. Sometimes you got an open line and could hear other teenagers shouting down the line - like an early chat room!
