Being born and raised in Kitimat, I know an oil port is going to be a tough sell. Prince Rupert won’t work; maybe Lax Kw’alaams north of PR could work (but there’s a fishery there as well). If they can promise a refinery in Kitimat to guarantee some jobs, it’ll be an easy sell.

I hope Kitimat gets chosen in this economic push. It has the largest expanse of flat, easily developable land at tidewater north of Vancouver and the second largest natural harbour in North America. Prince Rupert has no space to expand & is more difficult for road/rail/pipelines.
