I'm so glad someone else has pointed it out. A key factor of a good meme is the whole "don't get too mad to actually be funny" thing that conservatives always forget. boomer libs love to find the ugliest AI art donald trump I've ever seen and then overlay the entire fucking iliad onto it

Okay, now I understand what you mean! I apologize, I thought you were making the common american mistake of mixing up GB, UK, and British Isles.

Hi, can you explain what "UK" means to you, in this context?

cash cow milkers have identified nearby monetary bovines with a few drops to squeeze out of them (nothing against the actors themselves, just the executives who think "x, but live action" is innovative)

They might be working a different job. They might not? This is kind of a strange tangent. I'm saying to you that it's harder for the average person to afford groceries, fuel, utilities and rent, and you're asking me "what if they buy different eggs now?"
comment in response to post
Not really, no. Your argument is predicated on "40 dollars back then is worth 120 dollars now" but that only works if someone who was earning, say, 40 dollars for a job back then is now earning 120 dollars for the same job.

Wages have not risen equally for all people, though. There has been a massive growth in levels of income inequality.

Unfortunately, the price of everything is increasing while wages are stagnant. What your graph -also- shows is that 40 dollars in 1985 would have brought you an equivalent of over 100 dollars worth of groceries, rent, and utilities. For any parity to be felt, wages must increase too.

There is also an argument to be made about the concepts of techne vs episteme - or knowledge gained through craft vs knowledge gained through theory. You could play chess enough to know what "feels right" and not have the words to describe the opening or sequence of moves being made
