📣 The media’s dangerous embrace of Farage: a critical look at BBC’s Question Time The BBC’s platforming of Nigel Farage on Question Time promotes divisive and misleading rhetoric, distorting the debate on immigration By Dr Russell Jackson

Take a good look at these stats here, as Trump will certainly - starting on Jan. 20 - start taking credit for all of it 👇 The Biden administration rebuilt this economy after Mango Mussolini left a steaming pile for them in January 2021 following his disastrous mismanagement of the COVID pandemic.

Remember all the outraged coverage about a handful of climate protesters slowing ambulances a few years back? Well it turns out that wealthy farmers doing exactly the same thing on a much bigger scale is absolutely fine bylinetimes.com/2024/12/12/t...

Doctors raising concerns about PAs/AAs working outside of competency/scope has been seen as toxicity, at times PAs have been unfairly targeted It has always been NHSE/GMC/Govt/Employers who are responsible for rolling out roles without regulation in place The WHY is harder to understand? 👇🏼

This is excellent from two journalists who represent the very best of the Guardian, its ❤️ & soul: Polly Toynbee & @shattenstone.bsky.social. Please watch & share 🙏

TV chatterbox Pete Hegseth doesn't suddenly become qualified to run the Department of Defense because he promises to be a *sober* incompetent person for the job.

Welsh disunity, politics, and our future We need to be clear-eyed about the consequences of Brexit, rising extremism, and the imperative for European unity. Wherever we are on the political spectrum, we all want the same things: safety and prosperity. bylines.cymru/voices-lleis...

"It is time we drop all the euphemisms that help Israel shield itself from accountability and start calling what’s happening in Gaza what it is: a genocide." — #AJOpinion by Othman Moqbel ⤵️

We need more of this. As most of the UK media is owned & controlled by tax-dodging billionaire oligarchs who seem quite taken with swivel-eyed loons on the far right & have normalised their nonsense for decades, I expect very few UK journos to follow suit.

"We cannot continue to participate in the social network feed of a man who proclaims the death of the media and therefore of journalists... X is a platform that no longer serves the public interest at all, but the special ideological and financial interests of its owner and his political allies"

So much is said about funding for the NHS £/person is a key metric, it’s also true that despite cash terms rises real terms are the same. Compassion with other peer countries is also important, if you underinvest for decades the infrastructure is not going to cope when it’s asked to do more
