If they can bring Kilmar Abrego García back, they can bring them all back. Don't forget about Andry!

Just look at these fuckin goons. You all still mad about people saying ACAB?

In the whole Oxford Lit Fest debacle I got some up close and personal experience with the GC mind and let me tell you, the velocity with which they reach for "gaslight and deny" when cornered is breathtaking. Leaping on the backs of DARVO tactics like fucking cheetas.

I would love to care about fixing potholes or creating better bike lanes or making trash bins more accessible for a change. Would absolutely love to not have "entire governments around the world want to annihilate me & will lie about it to my face" foremost in my mind every second of the day 🙃.

Akua reindorf an "impartial" commissioner of the EHRC. One who buys merch from anti trans groups. And accepts money to talk to anti trans staff groups... whatthetrans.com/anti-trans-e...

I'm just having a really negative reaction to people's reactions to Musk's claim that Trump is in the Epstein files. My reaction is: In 2016, one of his victims openly sued Trump and Epstein jointly claiming she was raped at the age of 13.

I have to record a podcast episode this afternoon which means I will be sitting here in freeze-frame mode unable to do a single thing for the next 8 hours

i NEED marginalized genders, women, & queers to let go of the imagined prelapsarian golden age of non-patriarchal sexual freedom when we were once the ruling class bc "primitive matriarchy" or athenian boy love or whatever. we are building a world that has never existed before, and that's good.

Somehow the "We need to support policies that are popular" crowd never land on the very popular polices like "taxing big corporation more," "making health care more affordable," or "paying teachers more." It's always just "be 10% more racist."

The fact that cops refuse to acknowledge this as a hate crime would be farcical were it not so devastating. Jonathan Joss deserves justice.

Suitably for the anniversary of Kit Marlowe’s death and for Pride Month, I’m reading (and loving) @hessephillips.com LIGHTBORNE Not only is the story good, the structure & use of quotes make it even more clever and compelling #Booksky 📚💙

I'm happy to report the reason why 30th May slipped by me this year is bc I'm working on a new book that has nothing to do with Marlowe, and things are going well at the moment. But yeah, RIP to a real one; you would've loved arguing with anti-kink-at-Pride dumbasses on Bluesky.

Fucking exhausting.

Despite the fact that i literally have a degree in this stuff I feel the worst impostor syndrome I've ever felt in my life when I sign up for seminars like this, but I might just have to ignore the voices in my head this time around. Too many good ones!

Ah, the majestic greyhound, most ancient and venerable of breeds, swift hunter, silent stalker, of piercing stare and long le-

“While States debate terminology – is it or is it not genocide? – Israel continues its relentless destruction of life in Gaza, through attacks by land, air and sea, displacing and massacring the surviving population with impunity.” www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...

Newsom, like many establishment Dems, is and always was a wolf in sheep's clothing. If living in Europe has taught me anything it's that the US *needs* an actual honest-to-god Left, but USians are so red-pilled across the board they don't even know what Left looks like. They just know it's "bad."🙃

There’s a lot happening right now (duh) but please consider helping our venerable genre mainstay Locus Magazine

Also, please specify that you want to protect trans care for ALL AGES! They need to hear that there is popular support for trans youth care, and that sacrificing them is totally unacceptable and unforgivable. We need to be louder than an entire consultant industry complex telling them otherwise.

We were hoping that this letter to @bsky.app could first be shared by a Gazan, but we were too worried that doing so would get their account deleted so we are sharing first. You can sign on to the letter about the unfair treatment of Gazans on Bluesky here: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

STAHP. CALLING. BIGOTS. "FEMINISTS."

At the risk of giving people attention they may not want: the responses to this thread are so eloquent, so deeply considered, that I kind of wish it were required reading for everyone. (But it's a scary world, so if anybody in this thread wants me to take down this repost lmk.)

Indie, small-press, and self-pubbed trans authors take note!

For the 5,000th time, most sex crimes are not about sex; they are about power, so chemical castration isn't going to do a damn thing to prevent them. It will, however, almost inevitably be used to torture and punish innocent people as queer sexualities/identities become increasingly criminalized.

I'm in a love/hate relationship with this thread. I want to love its body-positive, "no wrong way to do masculine" attitude, but I hate that after reading it 5 times I'm still thinking, "But HOW do I hide my massive birthing hips, Derek?? Please just tell me how to hide them!"

This is something I tried very hard to get people to understand around the time I blew up my life in order to withdraw from a certain literary festival. There's such a thing as a Professional Transphobe; many people make bucketloads of cash doing it. We're witnessing a bigotry gold rush.

Just think of the real books whose champions are desperately trying to get word out for them & would die just to have that kind of platforming that was given to books that don't exist.

Ahmad and Samar are still alive, which is great to hear, but the situation in Gaza is now worse than ever. Please help if you can, share if you can't.

My parents are coming to visit me in Spain for the first time in 5 years. The catch? I have to meet them in Barcelona. Kind of hate them for this. (Seriously, don't go to Barcelona.)
