one can only hope one of us (likely one of our IT kin) hacks a popular porn site to read this way. Just... for a day. it would fill my heart with so much joy. 🐍

ok, buddy, as a fellow food service worker, im going to level with you: customers are awful to us. but if your reasoning for this boils down to "there is a slight difference due to disenfranchisement of delivery from the strorefront" and "people i know got paid better," youre not ready.

except that those things, again, are not what you seem to expect them to be. they never were. they also maintain those reduced wages when working storefront. beyond that, you havent touched number 3 yet, and i dont need to keep arguing with people hyperfocused on the shadow rather than the bird. 🤍

youre gonna have to change the view of the entire service industry, or youre chasing symptoms.
3) not believing in people's ability to self-manage, and calling them (potential) "petty tyrants," shows you just might not be "leftist" enough, babes. 🌻

of course they wont put in the effort to make their own awful plans. its far easier to write bullshit than it is for people to check and defend against it, so they get away with it where they can. the tech changed, the rot stayed the same. 🐍

"monopoloy claims". as if thats what any of us peons give a damn about. we want to watch a judicial draw-and-quartering because its the closest we'll get to watching meta burn, and we may just get to see zuck cry 🐍

sure do. go ahead. give us something beyond cropped, out of context movements. i wanna see their full-body enthusiasm. you know, the way a nazi and elon would do it.

unfortunately no bankruptcy announcements that we're aware of, just a company trying to ruin the sport by making it g-fuel certified (hyperbole, probably).
its just weirdly predatory, and disappointing given how much they shined a light on the niche. hopefully they dial it back.

for sure, theyve got a pretty tight handle on the "market" for chess, and my starement is more an assessment than a objective truth, but the problem is that its a market to them. they want to turn it into fanfare and sponsors, and the chess world doesnt want it. theyre just the ones paying for now.

so where this comes to head is that a chunk of the major players (hikaru, niemann, magnus, levvy...) were jumping ship, and theyre still working on their own projects (other sites, even) because of chesscom's policies and choices. its just grim, and their responses havent been player-centric.

mostly it has to do with Magnus, and how chesscom has been handling their players in their events more recently (a year or so?). basically theyve been trying to control these major players and keep them from playing in events hosted by other companies. as well as shit rules that harm the base. fun fact: the origins of chess (largely agreed to be from India) had an elephant as one of the pieces. it was a prolific game, and it would be unrealistic to assume part of that didnt continue to exist in the world it was born in. the chess scene in india today is absurd. 🐍

now it WOULD be fair to say chessdotcom itself is dying/struggling, but thats drama most people arent involved in unless they actually play. 🐍
