I already have so many books I need to get to next month but if gael song wins I might need to drop something...

Well I can't say it's going super well at the moment ๐Ÿ˜… getting annoyed by the dialog

oooooo good idea ๐Ÿค” might need to add that to my notion setup

For vampires, I enjoyed A Dowry of Blood, which I'm pretty sure is a standalone. I also have Hungerstone and Blood on Her Tongue on my TBR, but no idea if they are any good

Well it was Elspeth that was mostly a struggle for me in the first one so that's great news. I also felt like the romance was rushed. The magic system was cool though

thanks! I'm hoping it's the same for me ๐Ÿคž

That's a fantastic way to go! I am thinking about splitting my TBR into for sure reads and hopefuls, and then giving myself the option to pull in a mood read whenever. I will have to see how it works though. I might still feel obligated to the hopefuls

Oooooo what a good idea!! Can't wait to see the books you pick out

I can't wait to pick this one up! It hasn't super been on my radar until this week but I already put it on my fantasy bingo board
comment in response to post
Oooo have you decided on your picks yet? I definitely put the Dreamblood duology on there because of your review. I'm excited to get to it!

I read the first two books awhile ago but yeah I finished the last book this weekend. I was really satisfied with the ending(what a relief, I was nervous I wouldn't be). I felt like the final battle was a good close to it all. Some sadness for sure but good closure to a good series

I'm not big on short story collections but this one was really good. The restaurant one was my fav

Need to get to this one so bad!!! Hoping to be out of my fantasy burnout soon

the way some of the conflicts played out at the end. The more I think about what bothered me about them the more I think it actually was a good representation of flawed people needing time to process. Idk. Overall, great book! Definitely recommend

Before I Let Go isn't necessarily a happy romance., There are tough topics and most of the book is the characters working through their trauma. I think Kennedy Ryan did a great job writing realistic people and that is what I look for most in a romance. I have a few minor conflicting feelings about

So You Want to Talk about Race is an absolute must read!! None of the topics are really new if you follow conversations about race online but this books is insanely helpful to get ideas on how to frame conversations that you have on it.

say this series is my favorite sapphic fantasy series I have read so far. I didn't like Faebound by her but I am really hoping she puts something else out and continues to work on character depth/relationship building.

I was so nervous I wasn't going to like The Ending Fire. I've been massively disappointed by a lot of trilogy endings lately. Happy to say I had a great time with it!! I think Sarah El-Arifi really excels at fantasy elements and world-building. I think her romances could use more depth but I will
