It's almost as if the two are connected somehow; probably just a coincidence

“proceed under the name of Marx but also Frantz Fanon, Walter Rodney, and Claudia Jones; Cedric Robinson and W.E.B Du Bois; Silvia Federici, Selma James and Mariarosa Dalla Costa; Glen Sean Coulthard and Howard Adams — to cite just a few orienting thinkers.”

While you're having fun calling American migra "gestapo", it's worth remembering that in 1925, before the Nazis took power, Hitler was praising America because it "categorically refuses the immigration of physically unhealthy elements, and simply excludes the immigration of certain races."

The Parliament of the Xinka People in May said no to the reopening of a Canadian-owned silver mine in their territory in Guatemala. As the Xinka wait to hear whether Guatemala’s Ministry of Energy and Mines will respect the decision, two representatives visited B.C. last week to deliver a message.

“We all collectively have to object to this madness,” said Huerta after his violent arrest for witnessing an ICE raid.

When your province is currently on fire due to climate change and thousands of Indigenous people are displaced because of it, it only makes sense to propose building an oil pipeline through the very same land, a pipeline even the oil industry doesn't want 🙃

Since people are asking me where the 23,000 figure comes from:

This month is the nonsensical 'National Indigenous History Month' in Canada, so it only makes sense to remember or learn for the first time about Richard Oakes, born to the Akwesasne Mohawk community that is crossed by the border between Canada and the US.

Now available, printable PDF and downloadable e-reader versions of Anarchism and Revolutionary Defeatism by K. C. Sinclair, the only English-language overview of the subject ever written to my knowledge.

wildfires across Canada are due to climate change, of which the US Military plays a large part. However, one of the fires in Alberta was actually even more directly caused by militarism, the Caribou Lake Wildfire started by 'human activity' on Cold Lake Air Weapons Range www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Russian-speaking anarchists in exile in Switzerland call out Kropotkin for his chauvinism in WWI (w/ regard to Egypt and more) Reply, by the Geneva Group of Anarchist-Communists (1916)

Heinrich & his discussants are always talking about "before exchange" this, before exchange that. Let me stop you right there becuz under capitalism there is no "before exchange", only exchange again & again. It's a circuit not a linear one-off event. Which points to "primitive" accumulation 👉

One way you know settler states don't really consider Native peoples as sovereign is we only have the right to sell to the one settler state exclusively. We Métis in "Canada" weren't allowed to sell our land to the US & tribes in the US weren't allowed to sell their land to Britain, for example.

What if I said "alienation" never referred only to human essence, it always also referred to the real material alienation in the capitalist labour process, where the product belongs to the capitalist not the worker, where labour-power is sold then consumed by the capitalist as his property?

Marx himself did exactly this with the Franco-Prussian War saying Germany was in a defensive war. Lenin and Zinoviev explicitly wrote about defensive wars of colonized countries. But none of them were marxists. Only the KAPD were marxists lol.

Maybe too fine of a point but something can be better than the status quo or good or whatever without being land back. Land back has to do with fullest sense of Indigenous sovereignty, not just limited transactions under and within a supposedly superior settler sovereignty.

A US Victory in the Middle East?, by Anne-Marie Fearon (1967)

The Trotskyist position that Ukraine has a right to self-defense and this overrides any concern with the imperialism of NATO seems more popular than the Stalinist position of being pro-Russia. But neither deals with Marx's position on the Franco-Prussian War and Russian intervention.

Transhumanist arc has begun.

Carney’s new bill won’t build a stronger Canada—but it will target migrants and create unchecked security powers, following Trump’s example. We gave the Liberal's original video an edit to make it more accurate. Watch:

The main problem with the new CrimethInc piece isn't that they reuse other people's footage or don't give them credit, it's that in typical American anarcho-liberalist fashion, they say shit like, "Every camera is a weapon."

Lillian Piche holds one of her children after setting up a tipi in Edmonton’s Sir Winston Churchill Square in 1969 to protest housing discrimination against Indigenous people in Edmonton. She was evicted from her apartment in Edmonton. Lillian Piché Shirt speaking at the University of Alberta 1/2

In mid-May, TRAC at Syracuse University noted that for its first 100 days the current regime's average daily immigration arrests were 2% higher than the previous (Democratic) regime, but its average daily removals had actually been 1% lower than the Democrats. This too could always be changing tho.

Do we imagine *any* of the premiers would, push come to shove, respect Indigenous peoples’ free, prior and informed consent—i.e., the so-called Indigenous veto—as to what happens on their ancestral lands and waters?

Israeli arms exports reach record high, as sales to Arab states rise sharply - https://www.middleeasteye.net/live-blog/live-blog-update/israeli-arms-exports-reach-record-high-sales-arab-states-rise-sharply

Israel's decision last week to create 22 new settlements in the West Bank was reported as somewhat uneventful news in the media. The reality is, however, that it's the latest in a series of moves to cement Israeli control of the occupied territory. mondoweiss.net/2025/06/isra...

"We have to do everything we can to demand an end to these atrocities and war crimes committed by Israel," says Greta Thunberg, speaking from the Mediterranean Sea. She and other activists are sailing to Gaza to deliver badly needed humanitarian aid being blocked by Israel.
