Luckily we know that’s a line we’d not cross

Ooh new weekly prize that you get to be Head Coach for the week? There’s plenty who should put their money where their mouth is, can’t wait

Don’t we just. I’m convinced that many aren’t real fans and if they are I hope they don’t moan like this about everything else in their lives or they’d be right miserable gits if so

Oh did my message come across as sarcasm? I’d definitely be up for it

Oh that’d be great as my in-laws are in Filey

Next time I see Nick I’m going to ask him if they have a wry smile when they post articles promoting everything but the news we want to hear! I know that I would!! 🤣🤣

Well I didn’t see that coming

I wonder also if this relates to League Two clubs only being able to spend 50% of turnover on wages & transfer fees. We know they’ve invested in hospitality etc which will increase turnover but I assume can spend whatever on infrastructure & doing so helps attract better quality to fit in that 50%

Depends how they get the team playing football tbh

And when Hardy was looking to use Regatta Way. Ardley put an end to that idea

There’s also no running water and access is poor to the Holme Road site. It served a purpose but isn’t a long term solution

I hope Nick and his team have had a good break as I think they’re going to be very busy now. Shame they’re not busy on Bluesky

And I bet there are people moaning on Ex and Faceache about this

Ah okay I see what you mean. I do agree, but I think whoever came in to replace Abbott would carry that weight. I think m we’ll be savvy as a club in not drawing comparisons, but fans and others definitely will.

There was open hostility from a few right from the off with Maynard, but I get your point. Hard to know what to think at this stage, but agree that this would be risky

Hopefully if he’s being linked it’s as part of the coaching setup as he doesn’t sound experienced enough to be Head Coach

Is there a comparison to Abbott in this? Fans will naturally make that, but I think the club are smart enough to judge each player on their individual performance relative to their attributes and expectations that have been set

Some people just like to moan and can’t see the positives about our setup and approach

It’ll probably end in tears, or cheers 🍻

I suspect it’ll be more info on how it’ll all work alongside Gagliardi. I’m excited to find out what the new structure looks like and of course the identity of our new coaching team

I think with Nemane we were all shocked at how poor he looked. But he wouldn’t get abuse because he comes across as being a really nice guy

Gates would drop insanely. It’ll never happen. But probably the best example of how easy it is to influence the market?
comment in response to
post
I hope it is as it’ll trigger some of the usual moaners. Logically could be on the basis of trying to bring in more talent from abroad & having an Italian Head of Football, though of course plenty of Brits who fit our profile. Hopefully we’ll know very soon

⚠️ Challenges
• May need time to adapt to L2 tempo & physicality
• System demands strong, fit wing-backs, squad may need strengthening

• Excellent tactical structure & in-game flexibility
• Proven ability to win promotion (Degerfors 2020)

Game-State Adaptability
comment in response to
post
5. Out of Possession Shape
• Defaults to a 5‑2‑3 or 5‑4‑1 block when defending.
• Compact and disciplined — prioritizes blocking central lanes and forcing play wide.
• Wing-backs retreat to defend as full-backs.
comment in response to
post
4. Pressing & Front-Three Movement
• Fluid front three: central striker often drops deep to link play.
• Press triggers based on wide opposition movement.
• Shape in pressing becomes a 3‑4‑1‑2, with one forward screening passing lanes.
comment in response to
post
3. Midfield Double Pivot
• Two CMs: one ball-winner, one deep-lying playmaker.
• No classic No.10; midfielders focus on ball retention, recovery, and buildup.
• Tactical discipline over creativity.
comment in response to
post
2. Wing-Back Width & Asymmetry
• Wing-backs are vital: they stretch the pitch in attack and form a back five in defence.
• Right and left wing-backs are used asymmetrically depending on the opponent.
• Frequent overlaps and underlaps to support wingers.
comment in response to
post
1. Build from the Back (Short Passing)
• Calm, structured buildup through centre-backs and central midfielders
• GK plays short, often involved in possession phases
• Emphasis on intelligent movement & passing lanes over long-ball clearances

One more video from last night. Last year when I was on Ex I posted most days as I was keeping an eye out for the hedgehogs (we had 2 at one stage who I like to think are this one’s parents), I’ll be doing the same this year

I will be more regularly now. Left out a few times this year but never sure if the crows or magpies had the food. It was every night last year until it got cold and the food was untouched. Going to have to get a home now

I was in our kitchen making a curry and missed the goal. Sounds like even that wasn’t great
