I wish I could, but I can't afford help right now. I've already been off work for a month. We're barely making ends meet at this point.

Or family values and morality

If they are that triggered, they probably should think about some therapy to see what is actually going on. If they are secure in themselves, they don't need to defend anything to anyone.

My daughter will walk into my room to say something and be like Broooooo...
comment in response to post
No, and it's dumb to think that it is.

He had started the process to leave NATO his first term, but Biden got elected before the process could be completed. With a Republican house and senate, it won't be hard to withdraw at this point.

coming from the South, I might call someone hon, but never sweetheart. Sweetheart can be condescending a bit depending on how it is used. I agree with that one. And no, using dude with a stranger is not a dig at anyone and it's a stretch to think so.

except it is very common no matter what you choose to believe. It might not be universal, but it is common.
comment in response to post
It's actually very common for Gen X. Not so much for millennials or boomers, but Gen X has always used it quite regularly. Hell my daughter is gen z and calls me bro sometimes.
comment in response to post
As a gen X woman, I literally call everyone dude, even my own daughter.

They haven't even met the prior authorization much less the deductible.

That's a pretty hefty Suspect pool. They're gonna be busy for a long time. Lol

The backpack shooter? His name is the adjuster! Have some respect!

Pretty sure they are only married on paper at this point. From what I understand, she has no intention of living with him again. Or at least that's the rumors that I've seen.
comment in response to post
I mean I think most of us would make the dude a list.

Trump is, has been, and always will be a beta. He's weak and extremely untrustworthy. It won't be long between the 2 of them.
comment in response to post
Absolutely. Extra layers can always be added.
comment in response to post
Considering they basically stepped over his body and continued on with that meeting? Not even sure they would convict
comment in response to post
People who witnessed the shooting were like i didn't see anything. No one is going to turn the guy in. They're making lists for him

Thank you. I wouldn't say bravery, but protecting myself and my mental health. My uterus was almost 3 times larger than it should have been. I would have had a lot less suffering if they had removed it 3 years sooner. It's done now. We're working on getting my daughter's tubes tied now.

Exactly. Just getting up in the morning can be a win. 1 of my tattoos is there to remind me of that. We've got this! We'll be fine in the long run. Gotta look forward to the short term wins for now. Day by day, and again, don't hesitate to reach out if you need to talk to someone.

That's sometimes a win in my book too. My other win is that I finally got some cleaning done in the kitchen that I had been too depressed to do. Long road to go, but I am sure it will get better eventually. I'm here if anyone needs to talk.
comment in response to post
For sure. They are all about "small" government as long as it is something they agree with. They talk about less government regulations, while adding more government regulations. They're impossible to reason with.

I would as well. I live in a state where luckily we still have choices, but that will probably change in the next few years. I got out of Texas for these reasons. When they refused a medical procedure that I needed because I might want more children, I left.

My part-time White job is to do the same thing. As should every sane American. Keep up the good work with your black job! It sucks, but our household is doing what we can to buffer ourselves against the hurt coming.

the mortality rate among pregnant women has increased since these laws were put into place. The GOP and MAGA doesn't care. They think they are justified because the mother should be willing to sacrifice her life for her unborn.
comment in response to post
I would not hold a doctor responsible for obeying the law. Sure, you can sue them for malpractice, but unfortunately they would probably win because they followed the law. The ones that need to be held accountable are the lawmakers making these absurd laws.
comment in response to post
Which is what they are doing. It is hard to find an OBGYN right now down there. They are leaving. As are teachers and other types of professions.
comment in response to post
While I agree, Texas and these other states are losing doctors, teachers, etc in droves because of their laws. They still don't care. They obviously don't care that women are dying.
comment in response to post
You do know that most of these states with abortion bans are wanting to seek the death penalty for the women having what can be termed an abortion and doctors if they perform them, correct? There's some states that are wanting to make it where you have to prove your miscarriage is a miscarriage.

Given the amount of pedophiles on his platform, not sure he should be calling anyone a pedo

MAGA Christians don't know the first thing about what being a Christian means. People like that are why I left the church.. my dad, the one that raised me, was a minister. I grew up in the church. Let it as soon as I was an adult

I disowned my biological brother and my biological fathers side. Other than my half sister and her mom. Somehow she ended up like me in her views. What you described is the southern way. Nice to your face and talk about you behind your back.

My daughter is bisexual. I told her I didn't care as long as she was happy. That's what real parents do. She doesn't want children and she was concerned how i would feel. Same response from me. It's her life and her choice. I'm just a proud today as when she was born.

Me too. I'm almost here more than Facebook now.

The Americans sure as hell ain't gonna do those jobs for the pay they get. Most don't have the work ethic either. Immigration, legal or otherwise, is what makes our economy stronger. Get rid of them and it will fail.

I'm also gen X. Barely. My daughter is one of the older gen z. The conversations we've had to have... even with my son who looks white like me. My biological father's family is racist and overall terrible people. Didn't think the country would turn into this growing up

I see that. And yes, that's definitely the first rule of any siege. Whoever rules the supplies basically wins. Just have to wait them out. At least that's what years of revolutionary and European wars have taught me. Lol
comment in response to post
It's pathetic that we even have to have these conversations in 2024.

I don't check who's following me. I see that someone does, but I don't always follow back so I don't check all of them. I guess I should. I figure I don't really talk to everyone and if they go off, I can block them then.
