She thinks the only constituents that matter are the ones who think like she does. They are the ones who tend to get out and vote and continue to put people like Joni Ernst in office. We probably do well to keep that in mind but it sure seems like playing her comments on a loot would help Dems

And why billionaires scoop up Media enterprises with a passion. All legacy/corporate news medias are owned by billionaires who don't have our best interests at heart.

Sarcastically responded? That's what you got, @pbs.org? She effectively told her constituents to eat shit and die. "Oh well" When the Trumps and the kind of people they associate with tell you they don't care, boy they really really mean it.

Better yet, stop trusting legacy/corporate media. Every major privately owned media outlet is owned by a billionaire, or in the case of MSNBC for example, a group of billionaires. Their outlets will ultimately reflect that. Turn them off. Use @npr.org & a growing list of independent journalists.

Maybe if we stopped voting sociopaths into office, then our leaders would treat us better 🤷🏻

He's here to break everything.

So let's guess what legacy/corporate media is going to do with this... I'm going to guess not much. The drug addled sociopath gathering all our information and disposing of all lawsuits against him will be yesterday's news too fast.

I'm disappointed more journalists haven't walked away from even high profile positions in legacy/corporate media. There's not a single mainstream media outlet that isn't owned by a billionaires or, in the case of MSNBC for instance, by a group of billionaires. Billionaires are not on our side.

And does anybody really believe he's going to completely walk away from his ability to do that and many other things? He overestimated his ability to do things in broad daylight and now he's going to have to step back into the shadows. It's as simple as that.

His boys are still there. Musk will keep his tentacles in power but he'll have to do it from the shadows now. We really need to stop being so gullible.

It's got to be so difficult to be that level of nasty human being. Surely these people are exhausted.

It's worth stating again here that The Social Security Trust Fund would NOT be insolvent in that time frame If Congress PAID BACK WHAT THEY ALREADY TOOK FROM IT. And given those funds were payroll surpluses - private money -who's going to pay the cost for congress's theft? We are, of course.

Believe anything Elon says at your own risk, or really at all of our risk. None of these guys is going to be stepping away from power they once held. He may be more quiet or back door about it he's not really going anywhere. We really need to be less gullible if we're going to win this war.

It does feel that way, but it also feels like The Spectacle is beginning to weigh in a way it hasn't before, on people whom it hasn't weighed before. Something either breaks under that weight, or we're in deep trouble for a long time. That's probably the case already.
comment in response to post
Of course that ignores the fact that they are here to break things and Hegseth seems to be one of the best they've got at doing just that. These people are intent on dismantling the system so we shouldn't be surprised when they actually do it.

It's time to make racists afraid again 😡

Peterson has got to be the most deflective, obfuscatory, and intellectually dishonest person I have ever seen argue a point, if that's what you can call what he does. He'll attack the nature of reality before he'll answer a direct question.

Well, clearly it's a manor of speaking.
comment in response to post
Whether you have a point or not, you're using somebody else's face on social media and telling others to be personally accountable. Why would anybody listen to anything you have to say?
comment in response to post
If we want to get good politicians back it's important that we not essentially incentivize them to become self-serving thieves. Term limits, ethics rules, oversight... What should be regular order.
comment in response to post
I'm beginning to be afraid that's what it comes down to - most people just don't care enough to make the changes to make the difference that will get us out of here. People are just too comfortable.

They won't. Turn them off and stop giving them a thought. There is no legacy media outlet not owned by billionaires or a group of billionaires. Every single one of those billionaires is team Trump and that will be reflected in the properties they own. It just will. Turn them off for all our sakes.
comment in response to post
Yes it does. It's a fascist propaganda machine. When you watch it and then come over here and bitch about it you actually support it.

The fact that Charlie Kirk can show his face on a college campus and not get his ass kicked does not speak well for this generation of college kids. If somebody would hand him what he actually deserves we could all celebrate something for once.

MSNBC should no longer be considered a viable news source. Good for Katie for moving on from the looming disaster. Every single major legacy mainstream news outlet is owned by a billionaire or a group of billionaires. Every single one. And all of them are in the tank for Trump. Turn it all off.

Watching a little bit of CNN and then coming on social media and talking about it is really doubling down on support for CNN. And MSNBC. They are all the same at this point and every single one is owned either by a billionaire or a group of billionaires. Every single one. Turn it off.

Yes! 💯‼️

No the press doesn't give a shit. The press is owned by billionaires who benefit from Trump. The press as we speak of it is literally the enemy. I use literally in the old-fashioned sense - it literally is the enemy. The sooner we figure this out the better.
comment in response to post
No, it's not fear anymore; it's full-blown complicity. These people think they are going to have all the power and that's what they're after. They don't yet understand Trump will consolidate their power again at that point. This is an all-out play to end democracy and we better understand that.

History dictates few options.

Those poorly educated people Trump loves so much because they vote so hard against their own best interests are always the ones who pay the price.
comment in response to post
Not very satisfying when the fact is we're all paying for it, in ways that we can see right now and in ways that we have no idea about yet.

YouTube is the last media I consume on my television. If they get to manipulative, then I'll turn them off. You already have to be incredibly careful not to let the tech bro finance bro self help bro algorithm take over. YouTube had the opportunity for such a clean product...
