The keyword here is G-7. Carney is not inviting non-G7 leaders to Canada. He is inviting them to the G-7 meeting. Big difference.
Rule: Keep your friends close, your enemies closer. Our foes not necessarily foes of other G-7 countries. And, Canada's end-game is not always apparent. Have faith 🍁

Agree completely. 🍁
Resell the F-35s we've committed to to the NATO nations that also ordered them (along with the parts) and purchase the Saab Gripen. This would also create jobs/investment in Canada. We'll lose money on the resale but benefit overall doing business with a reliable EU partner.

If true, I'm extremely disappointed... MBS claims leverage in resolving the genocide in Gaza but he has little to offer beyond his wealth. I truly hope I'm wrong and something positive will result but he is but a stain on humanity.

Said this before but bears repeating: Media should cover his pressers like any news story. Not unlimited air-time but fair, unbiased reporting with a clip from the pressor, then move on to the next news item. Unelected leaders deserve a voice but should not expect special treatment. 🍁

Federal government cannot act without a request from the province. That said, wheels are now in motion. Key will be to learn how we can expedite resources quicker going forward this year and the next, and the next...

Of course they would.

I'd be inclined to let him continue to spout his nonsense. What little credibility he has will only continue to diminish the more he speaks. I just wouldn't give him free air-time...

And, governments wonder why the majority of us have little faith in what they do (don't do) for the citizens who entrusted them with their votes in the faint hope they would actually work to make our lives better.
What a waste of time...

The same tactic is being employed by AB Premier Smith... Best way to avoid a caucus revolt, give everyone a job and the extra pay that comes with it.
Will be tough though since no one in the CPC party is allowed to speak and answer questions...
We'll see how this works out.

Perhaps, not my place but, if I were NDP I would consider not running in the upcoming byelection and let Sutton duke it out with CPC (Poilievre) and PPC (Bridges). Conservatives won't vote Lib but many won't like losing Kurek to Poilievre and vote PPC. Split vote.

This could apply in Canada as well: Conservative balloonist vs Liberal saviour in the boat 😂

Pierre Poillievre has no morals, he doesn't care how or how much, or who pays, just so long as he gets to stay in the big house! And I do not understand why the party is still behind him!

It is time for the EU membership to 'temporarily' suspend Hungary's voting status and any subsidies until its government reverses is regressive policies against its own people...
