Only one that’s aged super poorly is Beirut I think, rest are still gold.

Really one of my favorites as a young kid. Don’t know if the game ever had a real plot but I’d just fly around immersed and dying and loving it.

When I ask LLMs a question in something I'm reasonably proficient in, I'm shocked at how many errors it makes. Being an expert breaks the illusion — that's why they don't use it.

Still had the faults of a lot of point and click games where solutions to problems could be inscrutable

I’ve never received a good novel solution to a legitimate programming problem — I just get a bunch of busted ass code that calls functions from unrelated contexts. And my programming is scuffed as all hell.

To be honest I don’t have negative feelings, I don’t feel like the rebrand is objectively bad — it’s just kinda weird. Branding is so homogeneous these days it’s just nice to see something different.

Whales continue to get stuck under the ice btw. This isn’t that uncommon, but it’s old news now.

“And the whales all died, but at least we got some good tv”. The epilogue kinda lays out that this was good PR for the oil companies and green peace, the struggles of the people of barrow continued to be ignored, and all the anchors involved got sick raises.
