It's easy to forget now but we had decades of steady advancement on trans rights. The 2016 bathroom bills invited huge backlash! It was only after the media constructed sports and youth medications as 'debates' that opposition moved from the far right to the polite center.

This framing is beneath contempt. The Christian right and MAGA launched an unprecedented assault on the civil rights of a tiny minority and successfully weaponized the pseudoliberal establishment - led by the NYT - to provide it with a medical controversy pretext that doesn’t actually exist.

Hate Gravois? We do too! Join CP2 and STLUrbanists for the monthly bike bus to city hall this Friday and celebrate the launch of our Gravois campaign! We’ll have a petition for folks to sign to compel MODOT and the City of STL to prevent needless deaths with quick builds

I applied on a whim for a job. I did 4 interviews with 8 people in the last week. Now they want another call. I’m very up front about my skills and personality and capabilities and this isn’t a c-suite role. I think we’re getting to the part where I decide this kind of neediness isn’t for me.

I’m really afraid for tornado victims facing this. I hope the city is prepared for cooling shelters but I fear they aren’t.

*to the tune of tradition from fiddler on the roof* depression!!!!!

look i've always been anti-lab leak because i actually know about labs and know virologists and read what virologists had to say, but like, this episode has convinced me that there's actually a huge scandal in how much the media actively pushed the lab leak theory

Now rescheduled for next Tuesday at 8:30 am. The meeting materials contain some very interesting public comments, including issues with the trolley www.bistatedev.org/board/public...

With all the LRA lots, has it ever occurred to St. Louis to make another tow lot? Even before the tornado, you often couldn’t get an abandoned (and wrecked and likely stolen) vehicle towed because they were at capacity. Now with the tornado, they have fallen way behind

I am so happy to report that Bellefontaine Cemetery will reopen tomorrow! There’s still a few locations to proceed with caution and Hotchkiss Chapel is closed and Wildwood Valley Gardens should be avoided but this is very exciting news for St. Louis.

This is insane

Calling @caraspencer.bsky.social & @developstlouis.bsky.social Goodson needs to be "undesignated" as the developer for the Cleveland High School redevelopment area.
