In a moral sense, I believe Luigi was a half a step above the slime he killed. In a legal sense, he was on the other side of the line.
While my personal moral code means more to me than the law, I won't support our advocate murder, execution, or the death penalty on moral grounds.

If I was going to creatively write this as a fictional story, of write the baby was badly brain damaged due to their mother's condition, but went on to be considered by the party of the felon to be the 2nd coming. The baby becomes supreme leader and the world descends into hell.
