I sincerely wouldn’t you have anything to worry about. The pushback is likely confined to big brands. And not good ppl like yourself.

Personally, my mind hasn’t yet moved to that extreme. I am at the stage where I don’t feel comfortable travelling to the U.S. though. And suspect like Canadians, feel a sense of duty to put my money in brands that compensate for this. That said, I have U.S. friends and colleagues I want to support.
