I haven't watched either. Hope you like it.

Very. The author also wrote a great programming book.

What happened to the s3 compatible API

Also what people don't get is that the sheer scale of bot networks the other side has built up. We either have a way of protecting these conversations from that or we build an equal one ourselves.

I have honestly found language specific courses work the best. Anything which has multiple languages under the same banner usually isn't very good in my opinion.

People forget that Facebook started the whole serious content moderation when Rohingyas were mercilessly killed due to the propaganda spread on FB. Anybody who is still using Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp is basically helping Facebook at this point. It will be hard to stop but one must.

My favorite author.

Anybody who still uses Facebook is directly playing a role in spreading hate. It's hard to quit Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp but if you want real change, you have to do the hard stuff.

But we are not changing this anytime soon with the new regime at least in the west. So we need to figure out another way to make the world kinder, happier and more joyful again.

consumerism, money making and materialistic things. Like where is a song like Heal the World today? People really have no heroes to look up to, no larger social zeitgeist to yearn towards. And I agree uncapped capitalism does have a lot to do with this.

While I generally agree, what I meant is that humans are tribal creatures. It requires a mindset shift / spiritual upliftment to rise above that. I was telling my friend the other day that after losing people like Nelson Mandela and others the popular zeitgeist has been reduced to politics...

Yup the same way great music is the ones in which your brain can predict the next notes and it finds them there.

Humans are the great filter.. We thought it would be asteroids.

Well think of it as 8 long files.

It's bending of the knee against a regime which can personally come after your company + tech has had a cargo culting problem for a long long time. one of the reasons i left big tech / silicon valley is because of the sheer group think + we are better than others attitude + echo chamber.

Yeah, the Buddhists figured this out a long time back: Just be kind and compassionate to other living things and sometimes even non-living things and you will be happy.

something around $300 one time payment would be reasonable.

I think it really doesn't matter because in both cases the underlying principle behind it is effectively the same. And that is what you are correctly questioning imo.

Armored Core 6

It also has more updated APIs of major libraries. So easier to experiment without pasting in a lot of documentation.

Is there a reason you use Claude directly instead of using something like Aider or a terminal / vim extension?
comment in response to post
Or Common Lisp

I was planning to leave Twitter this week. But then the place turned into such a dumpster fire with Maga eating Maga that I couldn't look away. It's like those slow moving car crashes you can't look away from.

💯

to be fair go might have the best out of the box model if you actually care? wdyt?

Can your vim do that? Can your neovim do that?

Are there any interesting measurements of corporate training and development programs that can be objectively valued?

Gosh. I just had an out of body experience because of the cringe.

I've always wondered if the great filter is actually technological progress. Maybe other life forms learn to live with the planet and they realize that the way to do that is to have a stable population and not have too much desire for expansion.
comment in response to post
That's a really interesting thought - persistence predator. What are some ways you do that?
comment in response to post
It's the weight of the sword that you just know so well by now.

It's this classic quote:

Only now they are realizing that bullies and people who are filled with hate will turn on them if at anytime they step out of line. And what is especially sad is that now there are others a lot of Asians for example who are joining on the hate thinking they will be saved.

I have seen so many of my Indian friends in the last few years jump on to the MAGA train and being OK with "cats and dogs" and bullying as long as they were not on the receiving end. Somehow they thought because they are the "model immigrant" they will get a good deal....

I usually advice people there are only 2 ways of making money in tech. Edge of an industry you have been a part of for a while and can clearly see requirements or building something for your yourself. If it is not making much money, maybe your market is too niche?
comment in response to post
It's actually sad to see them like this. I thought they would be happy with their win but they are as miserable as ever.
