Trying to convince myself that taking him in is the best thing for him even if he may not like it at first. So many strays around here get sick, ran over, poisoned or attacked by dogs. But I still feel like what kind of asshole am I to assert my dominion over this other perfectly happy being. #cats

Also checkout the sun tan this thing has. Originally Olympic white. I know people act like these poly finishes don’t age but they sure do, not in the same way nitro does but still nicely. I’ve got a Squier Tele from ā€˜09 that I’ve had for 10+ years that has yellowed and started to check.

Don’t sleep on these Wilkinson Vintage Voice Alnico V pickups. They sound great for any price but especially for what they cost.

I think one of the best parts of getting older has been realizing just how much of each of my great grandparents, grandparents, and parents are in me. I’ll regularly do some mannerism or whatever and realize that it’s exactly what my grandfather or whoever would’ve done. Gone but still here with me.

In my circle it seems that politics is driving away those of us who want to see non-political stuff. We’re all very political people but damn do we have a limited stomach for it right now. It’s just hard to stay sane.

This is so relatable you don’t even know.

There are good ones but Royal Tenenbaums didn’t do shit for me, I’m already sick of rich assholes.

I’ve been tired of these anti-trans concern trolling editorials since about 2013.

People push b/c they’re in a hurry b/c of schedule, money or bravado and go down because of weather or poorly maintained approach/they have too much going on and are behind the plane.. Coming in too fast, too low, trying to climb too fast, too heavy, misunderstanding reduced power at altitude.

Honestly it depends on the plane. I think there are a lot of tried and true light aircraft that are generally safe. Almost all GA crashes I see are down to someone buying more plane than they can handle because they can afford it and only being qualified for VFR but flying in IFR conditions.

We rented a car to go to Philly a while back and it spoiled my old ass.

I’m trying to get out of the ā€œthe shittiest car is our best carā€ life right now. I really just need to fix some of the other junk I think. It’s almost summer, perfect time to get the double black with leather and no A/C Jetta back on the road. 🄓

She also keeps trying to hack up a hairball that never comes and I’m starting to think it’s just sinus drainage.

It’d take a special candidate to give a shit about places like Pearisburg or Tazewell. I’m from that end of the state and I don’t know a single person red or blue who could find either one on a map. I’m the only person I know who has been to all of those.

It’s not likely to happen anytime soon either, especially with Lamont Bagby as the chair. I was there during the special election for Jennifer McClellan’s seat that he ended up winning and he rolled up in his murdered out Porsche. He seems much more like a grifter than a man of the people.

The only problem with that is I don’t drink coffee or wake up early enough for those guys lol. They’ve extended breakfast til noon daily and I’m rejoicing.
