Every time I've made new sites before it's been very much just putting a site together without a unifying purpose, but this time I really want to make the WHY of what I do clear as soon as someone is on site.

For me, I've started work on my new website, which has actually started by doing a bunch of online courses on business and branding so I am deep in the sort of "brand exploration" phase trying to really clearly distill what I do before I even start building the site. It's mind bending, but good fun!

I have had this issue before, and it is super annoying. I think it's related specifically to master pages and when you insert just one page and not a 2-page spread, which causes all the following pages to get a big wiggy.
Next time it happens, try reapplying your master see if it helps.
