I was reliably told by a 14 year old in 1983 that CP/M was an acronym for C ProgramMing. C had it made back then - it was the source of CPUs and OSen. What happened?

Didn't we learn before that the administration will just say "facilitate" is a verb meaning, "Do nothing to cause or effect?"

In today's environment I think that means you're antisemitic.

No! I did that once, and now I don't care if they give me I order for free: I don't want text messages, emails, phone calls, or anything else. If I want more products, I'll be back. Otherwise, I don't want to hear from them!

I'm getting the feeling that this group is not going to have any trouble generating a report that conclusively proves vaccines cause autism by September.

Sigh. Looking forward to a future where constitutional rights are only granted to those who go to court after their rights have been taken away.

You still can't say it's because they don't have black people, but hey, that's what Trump's third term will be all about.

Has Gov. Abbott always signed bills with a Sharpie, or is this something he copied from Trump?

Tell him you've heard the shots are painful, and ask him if it's true. Ask him if the fat shot helped his friend get down to 225 lbs.

This is a chart of vessels currently at POLA. The data is very noisy, with lots of variation from week to week. Apart from a one day dip about 2 weeks ago, there isn't a significant change in the number of ships at POLA.

The Port of Los Angeles CEO was on MSNBC with Nicole Wallace a few minutes ago and said there were something like 3 ships in port right now. The real time POLA dashboard says the number is 9. Vessels is a bad measure - shippers send smaller vessels if they have lower volumes.

I wonder if they discussed the Trump administration's desire to end the war on Russia's terms?

Voicemail (1987): "It's been two hours since my last message! We have GOT to hear from you!" Urgency: The Mexicans have taken over California! Actual: In fact, the Mexicans hadn't taken over California. Mom and dad moved to Arizona anyway. (I wish I was making that up)

It's a bad question, because the consumer rarely pays the tariff directly. I'm designing a product now which uses some components only available from overseas, mostly from China. Who will pay the tariff? Me. Will I pass along the cost in the form of higher prices? Yes. But I will pay the tariff.
