I decided to go fancy so I am making Michael Romano's rhubarb chutney. Other ingredients include red wine, apricots, red onion and celery, with red wine vinegar, lime juice and cayenne pepper.

Choppity chop chop chop.... I see lots of rhubarb chutney happening soon. Also I have loads more rhubarb if anyone would like some. STG someone wants some....

I thought this story was horrific, but realizing it was an actor I long enjoyed only made it worse. My God.

I'm absolutely absolutely up for offshore wind energy, I think it's a great idea but I thought we had a green hydrogen export thing going on in NS, and now apparently we are going to export wind west energy to NE US bc something something golden ticket? Confused now. Happy to be unconfused.

October better be fucking warm ....

It's past my bedtime as I'm watching the Canadian Association of Journalist Awards. I just won silver in the Daily Excellence category. Thank you to the association, judges, all the nominees, and the Examiner team, especially @timbousquet.bsky.social for his continuing support and encouragement.

This is so true. (For me anyway).

Is it just me or is there a weird amount of shows on the streams about how really rich people are not actually that bad? Is it deliberate?

when your body goes haywire during menopause and literally no one knows wtf is going on because nobody about our health. Your hairline starts to migrate. Blinding headaches. You break out into hives weekly for no reason. (Go on hrt immediately if you can. Do not try to raw dog menopause.)

Congrats to Michael Crummey of St. John's, NL, on winning the €100K Dublin Literary Award for The Adversary. I love Crummey's work and can't wait to read this one. shorturl.at/D7jaW #canlit #BooksWorthReading #bookworm #Newfoundland

Quiet intelligence that’s always with me, my ass. I already have an intellect tyvm. Everything just ends up being more surveillance (ostensibly to sell us crap we don’t need).

This story is hard to read, but there’s so much love and redemption and caring and growth in it, it’s really worth it.

That sunshine paired with that wind is just cruel.
