Felix Nussbaum is a my favorite example of artistic courage in the face of facism. He kept painting despite knowing full well that he would probably die. He was murdered in a concentration camp in 1944 just months after finishing his phenomenal final painting "Triumph of Death." Human art matters.

MacKenzie Scott paid me $100k for this tweet

In case you missed it, I utilized my two coolest qualities (excessive profanity use and being a hater) to explain why colonizing Mars sucks shit: medium.com/@adeene.dent...

a happy lottery day to all

Polyworking suits a lot of people sure but I’m actually into what’s called “workplace anarchy.” My work relationships are just as important as any other kind and I insist on getting a 1099 for all of them

They are only m&m's if you eat them in pairs, wake up sheeple!

damn right

How about two?

is this anything

guess I'm not going back there for a while

I saw this poster on eBay. It was way too expensive. Then I realized which shuttle it was. I did some digging and IBM HQ immediately recalled and destroyed them. Guess they missed one. Whatever, it was my birthday a few days ago. $350 later and this is on the way to my apartment.

Earth is big egg

Time for some real talk: @thexylom.com, the only Asian American-run news outlet covering science, climate, and the environment, will run out of funding in July if we don't secure $7,500 by the end of the month. I might lose my job at a time while waiting for a visa extension -- a nightmare scenario.

'All the mistakes you make are investments in the skill you are mastering' is wild motivational, actually...

I think I did a decent job broadly addressing this incredibly bullshit and bad-faith question on the spot; but I also think it's worth addressing further, to the point that I'm crossing some pretty hard lines about what personal things I share with the Internet.

Now when you says Andrew Cuomo is a sex pest it depends on what your definition of “is” is

quick plug for the summer market at my ceramics studio on Saturday evening (I'm not selling but you can get these adorable planet planters)

okay and here is my ‘sounds like a shitpost but it’s genuine’ UK heatwave tip: if there is a Saxon or Norman church near you, and it’s open, go sit in it. not gothic, they have too many windows, get you some thick stone walls with some high up tiny windows. they stay cold. and you can just sit there

Unseelie Court? Folks it looks more like the Unseemly Court around here. Excuse me sir are you wearing jeans? No one needs to see fae in jeans, man. You think you’re going to be the conflicted protagonist of a romantasy trilogy in a pair of Levis? Get the hell out of here. Go “see” a tailor for once

I’ve just donated £10 - can anyone match me?

"This is OUR jurisdiction"-ass showdown

I will vote for any candidate who promises to make it a federal crime for phones to emit noise on Amtrak

I'm Shirley, a Black/Korean woman who makes really cool art. It's Juneteenth, and Black people still have yet to receive reparations. But here are some of the ways you can financially support me today! ✨💖 ✨: paypal.com/paypalme/lioninthetrees ✨: ko-fi.com/lioninthetrees ✨: shop.lioninthetrees.com

Harriet Tubman #quilt by my Mom, Vera P. Hall, who makes quilts celebrating Black people who fought for their own freedom. This seems to be the crowd favorite of the “We Didn’t Wait for Freedom” series. Happy #Juneteenth #quilting

Investigative journalist & Hyphen co-founder Bernice Yeung will be in NYC next week, so we decided to do an event 6/26 at MOCA in conjunction with the Magazine Fever exhibit about Asian American magazines. We'd love to see Hyphen contributors & readers there. www.mocanyc.org/event/moca-t...
