Fuck Bush but if he came out in support of Harris then I don’t think she tags Chaney along at all, they wanted those disenfranchised classic republicans but went about it very wrongly

They’d rather play the “safe” game, even if it looses them elections. Where the GOP was desperate (in a we are SO not popular sense) the Dems have been arrogant. It did feel like her campaign took a turn (I didn’t know where yet) when Liz hopped aboard. I hated it, but was hopeful it would work smh

This is like when The Deep was put in charge of Crime Analytics

It’s a damn shame Kamala didn’t have enough time to run a proper campaign. Biden’s plan since 2020, apparently, was to let her carry the torch in 2024. I think the haste in which it all happened contributed to her dragging around Chaney and pandering to righty’s. Everything felt desperate bc it was

Backing Sanders in 2016 wouldve been suicide for the election tbh. 2020 he wouldve stood more of a chance, but the point shouldve been to swing more left in their messaging rather than to the right. Dems are pandering so much they’re loosing their base & while still being ignored by the center/right

And the end goal is to get enough of the public to be in favor of a total restructuring of the government, and MAGA will restructure it how *they* want since they plan on being in charge once it gets to that point

The objective is to instill distrust and dysfunction into every institution while at the same time making sure all of those instilled are loyalists. Experience be dammed, just be a yes man and destroy whatever you’re in charge of as much as you can until you’re ultimately either fired or promoted

They’ll just ignore it

In hindsight, Dems probably should’ve switched their platform as soon as the GOP did, in 2015/16. They should’ve backed Sanders or candidates like him, because his policies fell more in line with what normal people want. Sure, Dems would’ve lost 2016 greater but Sanders could’ve opened the door

Media failed us by trying to seem non-partisan when in reality they should’ve been absolutely relentless towards Trump no matter how people viewed it. In the end the GOP was able to switch the game around and now Dems are loosing ground in public opinion and loosing it fast, bunch of con-artists

The only problem with doing the economic argument is most people aren’t paying attention to what’s actually happening, all they know is “my grocery prices are higher now and Harris is the current VP, so I’m voting for NOT her” and in the end that’s really what won Trump the election. Ignorance

It’s like the Dems tried to do the same thing as MAGA which was relying on social media to campaign for them They need to start caring about facts and solutions. They’ve let the GOP steer public opinion for decades now. It’s time they go on offense instead of constantly defending themselves

I’m 5’11” 160 lbs but my phones proportions are the same as if I were 7’4” 312lbs so my spelling sucks

I get your point, it is very abhorrent as to what’s happening. But to Tiffany’s point, people can be intelligent but if they lack political or media literacy then their vote will be just as dumb as the least intelligent persons vote. The real problem is a two-party system. It must be at least 5 imo
comment in response to post
I totally agree. Ik the game seems rigged (I think it halfway is) but I believe voters hold more power than we, or anyone in charge, would like to think. If we promoted political and media literacy in this country then everyone could vote in an intelligent manner. Leading to better politicians
comment in response to post
Exactly, we as voters on the left,& candidates on the left for that matter, need to do a better job at showing we care about all people and that we’re in this together. Like Tiffany said, making fun of the other is divisive, extending a hand is way more effective at getting people to join your side
comment in response to post
I do also agree they’re ignorant to the fact that they think the bad things won’t ever happen to them
comment in response to post
That’s okay because I definitely could be wrong. I’m just talking about the sum of all voters who voted for him. I think a majority of them really have their heads in the sand when it comes to his wrongdoings. I agree the ones who *are* aware make up WAY too much of the population, it’s scary
comment in response to post
I get that. However I think Trump voters who are 100% aware of his character are the minority. Most are oblivious bc the media has fallen short of their jobs. Some woke up but did it post-election, it’s crazy how many people didn’t know how tariffs work yet voted for the harsh tariff candidate

Theyre def not privileged, a lot of people’s moral in themselves and our government is so low that some have either become cynical of politics or have detached completely to it. In a way I fully understand (I used to be cynical ab it) but the only way it gets better is if you participate and educate

I think the common denominator between all people who don’t vote is living in a difficult situation. Living paycheck to paycheck. Too busy trying to survive instead of being involved in politics. People can vote to improve their situation and political party’s can *def* serve our interests better
comment in response to post
I don’t like being a judgmental person but I will judge the people who chose not to vote and the ones who voted Republican despite the candidate being, in any other normal timeline, utterly and unequivocally unelectable
comment in response to post
You may be missing the point If people thought about how their vote effects others rather than party loyalty or blindly following a person then theyd take their vote seriously, and do research. The wool is pooled over some’s eyes so bad that I feel bad for them, they may not know their ignorance
comment in response to post
“They deserve everything they get” yes but *ALL* of us are going to be effected.. We are one country, we are in this together. Maybe if people took that to heart we wouldn’t be in this predicament right now..
