since so much of this game is completely static, on the base map without any random features you can still - farm enemies and loot things - shop, smith, and level up - fight a few bosses - admire the scenery it's like a whole tiny rpg just for you!

It's hard to know how I'll feel about Nightreign overall until I've played the whole thing, I think, but just like with the Network Test, I'm having a blast so far. I do think the key to it is playing with friends, though. It's like... a weird party game with souls combat at its core.
