Several things are clear at this point. 1. They are not fucking around 2. They are capable of anything 3. They intend to take power and keep it 4. They are white Christian nationalists 5. The opportunities for this to not end in civil war are closing 6. A hot summer will exacerbate the situation

Stephen Miller is the clearest warning yet of what happens to a society when they fail to use birth control.

Hey, I cried at the end. I cry at the end of every Mad Max sequel when he regains his humanity. Not so much in the original.

At least he's man enough to admit he was wrong. Trump would never.

She's performing for an audience of one. She doesn't care about America.

This is going to embolden Trump to use more violence to get what he wants. Being upset about that isn't weird.

They'll fall in line. They're the most submissive group of people on the planet.

Funny, because they tried telling the European people that they weren't Jews and were quickly corrected and unalived.

Imagine calling for the destruction of an entire country of 8 million people because of what your fantasy book tells you.

And it was stealth bombers at 50k feet and after Israel took out all of Iran's air defenses and Iran barely has gen 2 fighters. Other than that it was the same thing.

An actual album instead of a collection of "maybe this will be a hit" songs that have nothing to do with each other.

Define "liberalism", because you're using an esoteric definition that community college squatters use.

This is incorrect. The federal budget is nearly $7 trillion.
comment in response to post
We actually only spend 12% of our federal budget on military. It's not an either-or, that's a propaganda tool. We can have social services and a robust defense. It's not a spending issue, it's an income issue. We don't tax big corporations or the rich. Like, at all.

We don't get it either.

Communism is demonstrably a bad system, but can we stop using it as an excuse not to have any social services at all? It's not binary, universal healthcare is not going down the road of the Party taking your house for their officials. And Fascism is just Communism without the good intentions, Ted.

More likely, we have relays that open switches if any over voltage is detected. Aircraft can't just turn off in case of a fault. Our definitions of failure are probably different. For us it means things going boom.

Those things don't exist for stations. My engineers design a station, I review and stamp it, we apply for permits, it gets built and inspected and comes online. Everything is tested on a bench, including switches and transformers. They go through multiple inspections. We don't blow stuff up.

I design and project manage the construction of electric stations and high voltage distribution. If one of my stations failed I'd lose my job and my engineering license, possibly face criminal charges. Part of engineering is minimizing the risk of failure.
comment in response to post
As an engineer, development does not only proceed through failures. That makes no sense. We don't design and build things until we get it right, we use math and science to build things that work. What kind of engineer are you? Asking for a friend.
