Oh hey, Kickstarter lets folk sign up to follow way sooner these days, so if you're intrigued by our Women of WW2 - THE RESISTANCE, you can get an alert here when it lives! www.kickstarter.com/projects/bad...

Two big projects planned: 1) Re-curating the Dork Tower comic book collections, re-releasing everything in two or three larger volumes. 2) FINALLY gathering all 2,300+ Dork Tower web strips in print collections, the first of which (THE DORK WEB) will see crowdfunding late summer 2025.

We ship world wide btw! I paused EU shipping for a month while we adapted to new regulations and then nobody came back. Spoke to so many Europeans at UKGE that were sad we didn't ship to EU anymore - we dooooo!

My friend @ioanmakesgames.bsky.social is running his first Kickstarter for "Packing Heat". Publishing is very hard as a lone person, so please do have a peep. You can use these rules across genres too so extra handy for all those minis you have sat around! www.kickstarter.com/projects/ioa...

In other news, there's some famous shark that our Giant Deep One "Bruce" was named after who's fifty this week. You can grab your own here if you like. Tuba not included.

It's not the size of the mouse in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the mouse. Peri's cute exterior hides the fiercest, fastest fighting heart in Wyrdworld, and counts more notches on her tally than an insect queen lays eggs. Very stabby. (Peri also starred in an episode of CBBCs "Lagging"!)

Still a couple left!

Tommy's the deadliest shot with a bow this side of the Lamina Mountains, able to shoot the eye off a murder hornet at a hundred feet. Runs a profitable sideline loaning money at exorbitant rates to gullible settlers. Sculpt by @snuurg.bsky.social /paint from @voiceofkosh.bsky.social Grab him here!

Every guy with a tragic backstory (in a movie):

Halfway through reading "Bee Speaker" by @aptshadow.bsky.social. He does that thing where he stops the action to switch viewpoint and/or timeline and you go "Oi! I was reading that!" and then the new bit is even better than the one he tore you out of. He's annoyingly good at that. Highly recommend.

‘Clue’ comes from ‘clew’, the Old English word for a ball of wool. It’s a rare example of a modern meaning deriving from a story: the clew of thread that Ariadne gave to Theseus to guide him out of the labyrinth.

Tragedy is when the apes fight until everyone is dead. Comedy is when the apes fight until everyone is married. Check the bonus panel on the site! COMIC ◆https://www.smbc-comics.com/comic/soul-9 PATREON ◆ www.patreon.com/ZachWeinersm... STORE ◆ smbc-store.myshopify.com

This! So much this! Because not only will a (good) human translator translate your stuff, they will also spot any inconsistencies or unintended lacunae in the original, thus providing another layer of editing. They will also give your text the right flavour. Not that I'm biased or anything. ;-)

Any French speakers in my bubble? How do you say "what the fuck?" in French? Where in the "qu'est-ce que c'est?" does the expletive go?

Wikipedia has a list of ‘Lamest Edit Wars’ that includes such disputes as ‘Is Limp Bizkit a nu metal/rapcore or rapcore/nu metal band?’, ‘Is it Star Trek into or Into Darkness?’, and ‘Should we say that economist Guy Standing is sitting in his photo?’. bit.ly/39qXtcu
