Hard to say when we don't have the option of a small affordable EV current. Personally, my first EV was a 2015 Fiat 500, a CA compliance car Carvana shipped to Florida for me. A few years after that I picked up my Chevy Bolt, which has a pretty strong following of fans. Imagine if there were options

Or... time travel to the early 90's, when competitors had a two decade jump on Tesla, but CEO's decided to bury the tech, sell the batteries to Texaco, and set the playing field up for Musk. archive.org/details/who-...

The most challenging thing for me, is when I hear the perpetuation of harmful stereotypes or hate speech... but even than, it's best to not react viscerally.... instead, I will kind of [fake] laugh it off, and gently poke fun at them. "Are "XZ" people climbing in your windows, where is coming from?"

That may be helpful with some of them... it is not easy thats for sure. That said, I think you're approach is the right idea... us acting like they are dumb, or irredeemable, or we understand things they don't, only makes them plant their feet more firmly. Discuss issues and topics that may overlap.

Don't change our behaviors, that's what they want. I really worry that they want to scare people, especially marginalized communities, and especially trans folks... Keep doing you! Keep going out, keep having fun, be safe and aware, but don't change how you live because of Trump.

I don't know if I completely agree with the video thing, but perhaps that could be one aspect or option, depending on the role. But for example, one of my colleagues has TD, stellar worker, not comfortable with how people view her and her illness... Apple has no place for her anymore.

i'm not actually angry at you, just the whole situation... Apple did a lot of people, really really dirty... and we were gaslit pretty regularly, coming from all sides, while going through it. Top performers getting called lazy because they don't want to move to a different state? smh...

Apologies for that, like i said, it's a subject i am pasionate about, and there seems to be a lot of "they let them work from home for Covid, and now they don't want to go back" rhetoric, when the reality is thousands were hired as remote, and got lumped into that convo... intentionally... by Apple

So if @AppleNews is wondering what went wrong with social media, maybe they should start by asking their own company. Because when one of the biggest names in tech decides that human engagement doesn’t matter anymore, it sets the tone for everyone else. And that’s exactly what happened.

But in late 2023, Apple quietly pulled the plug on most of it. They #quietcut their social media team (many of whom faithfully served the company a decade or more), and turned the forums and social over to automation.
And guess what? That set off a chain reaction.

Apple had a solid presence on #socialmedia. Their support accounts on Twitter (now X), Facebook, and Instagram were some of the best in the game. They also ran the hashtag#AppleSupportCommunities, a massive user forum where people could ask for help and get answers—guided by real, human mods.
