You blame Breaking Bad for the Bootscooting? me too
But Meth has been a growing problem since before that show. Like I said, here too, out in the wheat fields ... in the crappiest suburbs, in mining communities

They may be playing tax-breaks with different governments - sound like unfriendly arseholes to me

You need lots of shade - but the Midwest gets very humid in the heat, yes? That's tougher

No, the guy saying 'take whatever you want' was the main character of the movie, and the narrator, but HE was the bad guy - they all were
That's the point: criminals take whatever they want - from everybody else

What a lot of crap! - if you want to fly the Hogwarts flag, that's your right
They keep saying America is the land of the free - but you're not allowed to fly your own flag?!
I would fly the Mexican flag, and the Chinese flag, and the communist bee-keeper's flag, in that order

Yes, you were telling me about your live in Mexico
I can imagine it being dangerous there - did the locals call you 'gringa'?
But if all the tensions were allowed to ease off, things would be better for everyone

And some illegal farm labourer can get proper wages and have their rights respected
And they can go where the work is, Mexico and Central America are poorer but the cost of living is much lower; and the food better, dancing, music ...
Buy their cowboy outfits in Southern Illinois and wear them out

I think if America stopped exploiting Central American countries and the Caribbean, stopped overthrowing governments and starting civil wars, everything would be easier for America - but they won't do that
That has to change. And then immigration can flow both ways

It's a funny thing - even developing countries are shrinking. India has been shrinking for a long time; China, Russia, obviously - then very poor African countries will go into decline by mid-century. And nobody knows why
By the end of the century, we'll all be older but not much wiser

There's a lot of talk that America is overpopulated. They probably mean 'overpopulated by non-whites'
But the demographics for the United States (and for Australia, and everywhere else) are going backwards: native born populations shrinking, and getting older
Soon the whole world will be shrinking

Yes, I knew that California was the biggest contributor - but who knew about Texas?! or Ohio, or Missouri?
That's a good page - thanks for that 💙

I think it's disgusting too - but can't people migrate to better states? Missouri into Illinois isn't that far ...

Yes, you're lucky to be in Illinois - a lot of your neighbouring states are real basket-cases

Then there can be Democrat majorities in the House, and maybe even in the Senate - then they can ruin Trumpie's life

I guess if you have fair midterms, a lot of them will just not turn up to vote

Wearing country & western stuff would be fun! Big cowboy boots and stetsons, flannel shirts, cute vests with sheriff badges, chaps, buckles, plastic six-shooters
I'm not into cowboy wear but it would definitely be better than wearing coveralls and hard hats or shopping at Walmart

Are you talking about Community?
I watched season one of The Mysterious Benedict Society on YouTube but they didn't have the last episode - that was a bummer!

The original movie is about the cruelty and oppression of a tyrannical state (and yes, U.S. foreign policy) - and it doesn't pull any punches
This musical version looks insane: the very cruelty and oppression the first movie complained about!

I meant the original movie - this remake looks like an abomination!

Slick Rick? - no way! (and if he did he'd be really sexy about it - he was that cool!)

I had no idea a person would read something sexy into my attempt to describe the scene where Harry Dean Stanton gets eating by the creature in Alien - Freudian much?

I haven't read a lot of Xenophon - there's a reason Plato is so much more famous
