I think if cultures cleared, no evidence of CHF, no embolic phenomenon, no AV black on EKG, seems unlikely TEE would change management. Take this with a pinch of salt though. Either way you're treating 4-6 weeks since OM present.

BTW vitamin A data from Italy didn't show any difference. So higher income countries where people presumably have enough vitamin A in their nutrition it's possible it doesn't help. If only there were an incredibly safe and effective vaccine...
