Teaching it and ethics that way a person caring about the common good isn't just dependent upon religion, but part of character. I wonder about this daily. I think maybe it's thinking less of capability of the general public to need religion in order to care for the common good, but I don't know.

I think that rural republicans are basically conditioned against the common good. It is appealing to dump the common good thoughts because it is simpler and easier. Christianity I guess in this discussion is the best way to focus on it, or easiest for most people. I suggest

He's talking about the common good I think, right? That is what the republican party rails against. Maybe Christianity is the common belief where people will be convinced of it, but secular people believe in it for other reasons, it's just harder maybe?

I wonder if the chief justice likes the idea that a majority of justices decided to make the judicial branch of government irrelevant to the executive branch.
