I reached my mom in the memory care unit today. She told me she was reading a two page book about [dad] and found it interesting. That would be the printed copy of the obit I wrote. Having some weird feels on this one, but I’m happy it triggered a memory, since it wasn’t bringing her down

OTD in 1974—as impeachment hearings against President Richard Nixon were well underway in the House Judiciary Committee—the Washington Post published this Herblock editorial cartoon. Ultimately, nearly every Republican in Congress backed the Constitution, causing Nixon to resign. Now, not so much.
