she described three ICE agents, all masked, and heard one of them say "we are on the streets of Portland, and we need to consider officer safety," seemingly in regard to Edwards filming the interaction. She replied, "I just have a phone," www.kgw.com/article/news...

Yup, let’s do this. Boycott Cathedral Coffee.

What a load of shit. Taking down pride flags so people feel welcome makes zero sense, in fact it means the opposite: people won’t feel safe there. Never going there again.

If you live near this place in north pdx, can you swing by and let us know if there are pride flags up or nah?

> “Moises is well-known in our community,” Van Nice said. “There’s countless other people that we don’t know. We don’t know their names, we don’t know how many have been detained, and they’re just lost in this system, which seems designed to make them disappear.” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Can anyone familiar with Cathedral Coffee confirm or deny this has happened? From Nextdoor: > Last week, employees of Cathedral Coffee on Willamette put up pride flags for June. The next day, the flags were thrown in the trash.

Portland Fire? There are worse team names. It's still possible they're holding the TM for the original name and are cooking up something a little different for the official name. Let's wait and see. #wnba

Dan Ryan is a hyperbolic troll. Portland's great defender of the status quo. He stands for nothing. D2 deserves better.

I hope for a happy ending to this story but man, it seems like we all lost in the Doug Fir transition. I understand it came down to walking away from a landlord over the lease renewal, must have been egregious terms to just pick up from Burnside like that. www.portlandmercury.com/music/2025/0...

For those who say “Illegal is illegal.” On this Juneteenth, remember: slavery was once legal. Harboring a fugitive enslaved person? Illegal. Black freedom? Illegal. “Illegal is illegal” has always been used to defend injustice. Legality ≠ morality. Justice calls us higher.

The new Portland-area dog whistle is complaining about the 8.5 million the city unanimously approved for the EDP2 settlement. We know why you don't like that one. We know.
