Anyone have strong opinions on genre for games? Should I pick one or two or can I get away with a swirl? I think first-person existential horror/puzzle/platformer might be too much at once. #gamedev

Feverishly day-dreaming about my next game while trying to finish the last 30% of my current one.

Oh no, The Masquerade curse has taken another victim.

A much more complex follow-up demo to my audio occlusion system post. I have upgraded it to be much more tuneable. I need to divide the video to meet Bluesky's limits. #gamedev #indiedev #unity3d

Aggressively refactoring my old code: Why is this even here? I'm deleting all of this. What an idiot. Moments later when everything's broken: I may have underestimated you, past-Gary...

My janky but effective audio occlusion system. Very few out-of-the-box tools for things like this. Google Resonance just does binary occlusion and Steam Audio does full (expensive) acoustic simulation. Where's the option for people who want something just good enough? #gamedev #indiedev #unity3d

I love how the ship is bascially the Rocinante. Like how the Ebon Hawk was basically the Millennium Falcon.

Resisting the urge to go back to ChatGPT and explain how I solved my C# issue.

Apparently "AI gen imagery is bad" is a controversial stance on r/solodevelopment and that is not a sad discovery I expected to face today.
