The Talmud is concerned primarily with Halakha or Jewish law which along with the Mishnah is the Torah. So, yes, I know the difference.

7/7 When you hear people saying that they are called by God to defend the babies, you know a) they have never read their Bible, b) they do not understand the OT and c) they do not care that Jesus said "Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law." (Romans 13:10)

6/7 From this, we can say that the OT does not see the fetus as a human being and codifies Hebraic law accordingly. There are ZERO references in the NT to any kind of abortion or miscarriage. It is not Biblical in any real sense that an abortion should be considered the murder of a human being.

5/7 The welfare of the woman is the supreme indicator of the severity of the injury to the woman. In Genesis 9:6, Exodus 21:12, Leviticus 24:17, Numbers 35:16-21, & Numbers 35:16-21, murder begets murder in every case with no exceptions.

4/7 Exodus 21:23-24 "...if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, eye for eye ,tooth for tooth..." If the only thing that happens is the mother lost her fetus but she is unharmed, then just the fine. But any other injury must be returned in like violence.

3/7 It's also important to note that a judge must approve of the fine requested. Ostensibly, this is to ensure that the fine is not too much due to the husband likely being in the throes of grief.

2/7 Exodus 21:22 (NASB1995) "If men struggle with each other and strike a woman w/ child so that she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no injury, he shall surely be fined as [her] husband may demand and...shall pay as the judges decide." So, if a woman loses her fetus, it's a monetary fine.

2/2 The MCM for Article 92 in 16a(3)(c) states "A general order or regulation is lawful unless it is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the United States, or lawful superior orders or for some other reason is beyond the authority of the official issuing it." jsc.defense.gov/Portals/99/D...

I hadn't planned on it yet ;) The most compassion I can muster is those who wield violence and call it power have been duped by those who manipulate their egos to wield their bodies and minds as weapons against others. We've all been duped. We've all found we believed lies. Not sure it's helping rn
