This isn't to say that it doesn't make mistakes, or that copyright holders shouldn't be compensated or that you as anartist HAVE to use it. But it's not going away.

It's all over the workplace too. If you have a white collar job, you likely have people in your company encouraging you or requiring you to use LLMs in your workflow wherever it can get you productivity gains. Unlike NFTs, the metaverse, and crypto, this stuff has real utility today.

To be fair, no one has biffed it as hard as Jordan Peterson at this format. Sam Seder, Doctor Mike, and Alex O'Connor all did considerably better at this format than Peterson.

This reminds me of one of my first jobs. I was temping at a hospital. An insurance company was required to give the hospital some data, but instead of providing a disk, they printed the data out on huge stacks of pin feed paper. My job was to enter that via keyboard into the hospital's system.

I think the real question will be, will there be a human prompting the AI, claiming to be the high priest for the LLM oracle. Or, will people spontaneously organize around a LLM without direction from a charlatan?

I once went to urgent care, concerned that I was going deaf and they coaxed out a tremendous amount of wax... no blood though! Still new experiences to look forward to.

One of my favorite things about walking my dogs late at night is that they can kinda sense bunnies nearby, but they can't see them. I look around and see them frozen and stealthy, but the dogs just can't locate them to bark.

The more depressing endgame will be a combination of algorithms and automated generation models creating ultra addictive video content for things like Tik Tok. Honestly, people are likely working on apps that just bypass video platforms altogether and deliver a stream of AI video slop directly.
