biking to work today i noticed that the schools are out because there was seriously 30% of the usual traffic. a good reminder that our streets need to be safer and more walkable so that children can get to school on their own without parents worrying, or enjoyably chaperoned depending on age.

I finally checked the damage. I wrote over 3,000 words yesterday over the course of 7 hours of writing and editing. 😭😵‍💫😵 Damn near rewrote the entire end of that chapter, dragging elements of it out until I had an extra 1,000 words over what was planned.
