And don't even get me started on search results. I completely ignore those "answers", they're wrong half the time and useless the rest of the time.

I keep hearing "yeah it'll take time to learn but it will work in the end" but the thing is, it works in a controlled lab setting. Not the real world with messy inputs and mistakes. AI doesn't ask followup questions, it can't extrapolate information from meaningless data.

Dude, I work in tech, and I see the same BS. I've been telling people, AI ain't no more than a fancy fucking flowchart. It doesn't have the actual intelligence to figure out if it's a rock, an octopus imitating one, or litter. It won't take our jobs, just make doing the job worse.

People also always suggest Melatonin whenever I have insomnia. Melatonin makes me super irritable the next day and it's like, I have no filter or impulse control. A headband over eyes and white noise is the best remedy I have for me. Not perfect, but helps a lot.

For a second I was confused (lacked context) until I got this was Ireland. Nationalists are fascists in the U.S., and in Ireland it's the Unionists who are fascist. Hope y'all colonizers get kicked out! Viva Éire, and Tiocfaidh ár lá.

A realistic recreation would be much cheaper and pass just fine! Dumbasses just want to hang a dead animal because there's something wrong with them. Not to mention all the diseases bats carry - jfc we're gonna have another pandemic b/c people be hella dumb.

100% pedo. Just...no. And "but she's actually a 1,000 yr old fully adult dragon who just looks like a human kid" does not fly.

Even before LGBT, those with mental illnesses and disabilities were targeted. Non-white and biracial children were sterilized. Immigrants were pushed out or rounded up. The Jews were the biggest and most visible target, but they were by no means the first.
comment in response to post
LGBT were attacked before the Jews. They were a smaller and less economically powerful group. It's why "First they came for" is a misleading and partially bigoted poem because it completely ignores a lot of groups that were seen as "undesirable" that were targeted before the Jews.

Ugh, no good at rhyming. But there is a song I can rec called All Good People by Delta Rae. The song calls people to defend their neighbors against tyrants:

Dissing YA because of Harry Potter is like dissing musicals because Cats was your introductory film to the genre.
comment in response to post
This statement tells me your knowledge of YA series is limited. You should try (og) Animorphs for something vintage, and Red Rising for something even more bloody. YA fiction runs the gamut of pg to hard R and slips under the radar of a lot of censors. For now anyway.

Ken Watanabe is so 🔥 I'd fight if he told me to. I'd lose, badly, but I'd do it.

If we're lucky, this couples spat also hurts Nintendo's news coverage.

To really make this effective, we should also refuse business of those who use generative AI for their marketing.

Nope! If a wish would have been granted, the wishing well itself would have done it. To have someone inhabit the wishing well suggests they are confined to it for some reason, and may use your wish for malicious motives related to their prison or escape.

I decided to share this with all my friends and family so that they can feel as cursed as I do

This is a gripe of mine - so many people want MORE out of what artists originally intend. If it is well made, drawn, and written, it doesn't need to be some paradigm shift.
comment in response to post
I don't ever intend to and I hope enough people don't that Nintendo finally learns a painful lesson. They're lazy in their games, rarely offering anything outside of their established franchises. Them and all the other big developers are unimaginative cowards.

All Catholics are dead to me and the religion would be the first to be annihilated if I had a say on how Earth was run.

Their first drawing is a griffin - it's just how they draw lion paws.

Centaur with horse head, human body - so Bojack Horseman? Lol.
comment in response to post
Actually, the Babylonian deity Anzú was depicted as having the front of a lion and the rest of the body as an eagle. So a reverse-griffin!

But what about authors who only sell on Amazon? Like, that's the only link they provide. And every Indie bookstore I go to mostly sells major titles, so doesn't help authors w/ smaller audiences who can't afford to send their books to everywhere. It sucks but this protest hurts the wrong people.

HSR only works if it has absolutely no crossings for other vehicles to potentially intersect, or, if there aren't any idiots who think they can beat the train at a crossing. Austin alone would tell you what to expect.

4 years is a long time to break shit enough that the solutions that would work today ain't viable at all in 2028. Vote the fuckers out? HAH! I doubt I'll even have the right to vote by then.

I'm tired of people expecting this shit to go away in 2028.

Hell, people reported a negative impact on their and children's social skills after the Pandemic - and that was just two-ish years!
comment in response to post
The growing reliance on ai is going to backfire hard. It's not being used by common folk to streamline long tedious technical tasks, it's being used to write basic communication. We've seen how the internet has negatively impacted social skills - imagine the skill loss we're going to have from ai.

People can and do have healthy and rewarding lifestyles that are built on constructive pain, but no lifestyle is healthy if the foundation is that you punish yourself for being human.
comment in response to post
Often times rewards are born out of pain and struggle yes - but it has to be something you choose for yourself! Religion forces that on you, and the pain they inflict is punitive, never constructive! Constructive would be like, denying yourself unhealthy food, or opening up emotionally.

"Mother" Theresa was in the first category, the fucking hag. Fine with denying basic medical care to others but ooooh not to herself!
