JS engines are ridiculously optimized, so not really surprised. The stuff V8 and JavaScriptCore are doing nowadays is borderline black magic.

Bluesky Autopilot will definitely come out in 2018.

Spam filters are a band-aid. To get rid of spam, you block the channels through which it's coming from.

Nah he's right. I get that a lot of people feel the need to grind in order to help their career, but nobody likes door-to-door salespeople. If there's a vacancy to be filled, there will be a job listing for it.

I just like it when “scoping” in a game zooms in and slows my DPI. That’s it. It’s very practical if not super immersive.

PS: Bluesky's domain-driven handles are genius. Own a domain? You have a reserved Bluesky handle for your business. Incredible what these people are doing. Huge props.

Currently looking into implementing the AT protocol into our web service. Web 3.0 isn't crypto. It's FOSS software and distributed systems.

Yes, Linux admins are expensive, but this is a set-it-and-forget-it kind of deal. I love software that just works, but doesn't treat me like a baby when I try to go into the system config (looking at you, macOS). I bet your engineers would, too.

I've tried a smaller platform for this once and lost hours of music when they shut down, since I didn't have the files anymore. Fun times.

Seconding the request for audio snippets in Bluesky posts. Would love to share some quick song mockups without having to link to an external site - kind of like what YouTube does for videos. SoundCloud exists but feels too heavy and is limited unless you buy a subscription.

...largely based on the same principle. People don't feel like you're selling them something, which makes you even more approachable and relatable. Buying a ".art" domain doesn't make you an artist - making art does.

Sometimes, the best way to be a role model is to really believe your own values and acting upon them, not saying "You should do this and be like that". It comes across as much more genuine and allows people to open up and really listen. I know it's a huge meme, but the "sigma male" phenomenon is...

What IP address are they using to test for connectivity, localhost? Lol. Hope they get this fixed soon, ISPs can be full of BS.

Thanks to the efforts primarily driven by Valve software, software piracy is less and less attractive. Buying games is great and easy. But sometimes, the effort is part of the pleasure. Support indie game studios, independent creators, and people that treat others with respect. ✌️

Except if the Beatles were just John and Paul and John was the biggest dickhead imaginable. I was heartbroken in 2022 and I am heartbroken now. I can't see myself ever supporting id Software again in the future. Prospective video game soundtrack composers, beware. This can happen to you, too.
